Maria and Nicole met in 2008 and instantly shared a connection with their love for fashion. Once they met it was nearly impossible to separate the two of them. Throughout each of their days, they would send each other images of fashion and art that inspired them. Eventually their image library was busting at the seams and it was time for the two of them to start getting creative. They started by t
aking apart some of their vintage jewelry which did not quite represent them well enough, mixed and matched different mediums, and created new unique pieces tailored to fit their individual styles. Friends and strangers would often approach them and ask where they got their jewelry from and the answer would always be the same, "We made it." Requests for personalized pieces started coming in and then... Guilty jean. was born. Nicole's dark and edgy style and love of meditation and yoga comes through to create a unique "bohemian-goth" look. Maria's funky style and love for everything vintage inspires her to push the boundaries creating interesting pieces mixing different mediums.
