I painted this inspired by some local fishermen. I wanted to explore a traditional Chinese painting style. This painting was painted digitally using the watercolor brushes in Adobe Fresco, it was my first time using these brushes and I was blown away; they are really easy to use and feel like real watercolors. In addition you get all of the happy accidents of analog watercolors with none of the unhappy ones, plus you have layers!

I started this painting last December while in China and and just finished it today. It was a cold, wet, dreary day when I took this photograph. This was one of those paintings that wasn’t terribly fun to paint owing to all the detail, especially the Chinese typography, but I am satisfied with the result. Painted in Procreate.

First Illustration using Adobe Fresco- I Recently switched from ProCreate to Adobe Fresco on my IPad, it is way better at vectors than ProCreate but I miss some of the ProCreate brushes
