Freemason Duke: You may not have known that John Wayne happened to be a registered Freemason. He received his Craft degrees in July 1970 in Marion McDaniel Lodge Number 56 F and AM, which was located in Tucson, Arizona. It turns out that being a Freemason actually ran in the family for the Duke, considering his father before him was a Freemason as well. After receiving his Craft degrees, John eventually became a member of York Rite and joined Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles.
