I also did a plant care sheet on the back with more plant art created on my iPad. Finally, I hand lettered the little plant tags with an amazing set of new markers that this gave me an excuse to buy. Prints are available now to help support the people of Maui as they recover from the devastating wildfires. These prints are reversible with my favorite monstera painting on one side and a sea turtle on the other. You could get one & flip it for a change of artwork or get 2 & pair them side by side.

Prints are $10. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the The Hawai'i Community Foundation (The Maui Strong Fund) and the Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation. The Maui Strong Fund is providing financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs for the people and places affected by the devastating Maui wildfires. The Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation is a nonprofit, no-kill rescue center on Maui.

I also have some sunflower prints available and proceeds from them will be donated as well.

I will plan to ship the first batch of prints within the next two weeks, but will leave the shop open as long as I have prints.

Art Prints for a Cause

Enjoyed the beautiful Inniswood Metro Gardens today! I squeezed in a 10 minute painting before a lovely hike & added the details when I got home. I’m thankful to live near such wonderful parks & for catching up with a great friend. ❤️

I sketched this in procreate quite some time ago & forgot about it. It’s based on a photo I took in Scotland a few years ago. I haven’t worked much with procreate, but I’m pretty happy with this seeing it with fresh eyes!

Last year, I decided to make one side of my holiday card a stand-alone art print, so the cards could be used as art & have a second life. I did that again this year with my painting of flowers I saw in Switzerland this summer.

Flowers were found near the Matterhorn, around Lake St Moritz, and other mountain areas.

Swipe to see some of flowers I included! The most interesting one for me is the reddish fluffy one, which is actually just the seed head after the flower lost its petals! One photo shows some yellow flowers mixed in that are the same flower!

I also included a couple of sheep because they deserve some recognition, I forgot to include them with the other side of my card. 🐑

Happy New Year! My 2022 holiday card features some of my lovely experiences in Switzerland. This side is of the Matterhorn & the most adorable Valais Blacknose sheep we saw there!

We celebrated Christmas early with my sister’s family, so I can share the piece I painted for her! It’s based on a picture from her trip to Hawaii.

This was a very special commission in remembrance of grandparents who have passed away. They loved going out on the boat with family and friends, so I was commissioned to paint them on the water where so many good memories happened.

I am always touched to be trusted with creating these keepsakes, and I hope the paintings will help keep loved ones’ memories alive.

This painting just came together without much planning. Normally if I paint buildings I sketch and make sure everything is just right, but winging it worked out this time! It took about 4 hours from start finish & is one of my favorites from the Switzerland series.

This year’s card has one side that’s all me, a floral Christmas tree, and one side that was influenced by my nieces. They requested certain animals & helped art direct while I sketched. 😄
