In Memory of : When my Son asked me at five years old to start this give back for Cancer babies in the hospital at Christmas time I never dream I would be doing this for 6years. This year is a very hard one in so many ways but in every area of my life I see the goodness of God and I will continue to be thankful. This year I am honoring the memory of two BEAUTIFUL SOULS who departed this life recently fighting this Beast called CANCER. Their memory will continue with the continued donations of everyone who made this possible for us to give back Pillows this year to these precious gems continuing the fight to see another day. These two Beautiful Souls were givers. They gave of themselves to community , friends and family. May their legacy continue and they SIP. Thanks to all who made this year give back possible. I know it was last minute but your donations made it possible to put a Smile on a Precious little gem to fight another day. Covid made it impossible for us to see them this year but I am hopeful for next year. I really miss my Jamie Libertelli , Lisa Trovato and Dawn Sweetman Woudenberg this year. One Love Everytime and Happy Holidays.
Feeling blessed to be able to put a Smile on my babies faces while they get their treatment. God bless you all who made a donation at this last minute. Happy holidays to all.
At Five years old my Little man (Young King) came to me and ask me to make bows for these sick babies that was battling Cancer in the hospital for Christmas. He saw a St.Judes advertisement and he felt in his little heart at the time to do something nice for these beautiful Kids. I as a mother not knowing how I was going to get these bows to these babies knew I had to carry out his wish. He begged me to please make it happen. I work long hours 12hr shift but would come home and create these beautiful bows (headbands ) for these babies. I spoke about it at work to whoever would listen and give me suggestions how I would get these bows to these babies. My beautiful friend Jamie Libertelli suggested Westchester Medical Children's hospital and the calls started. I then remember that my Stepmom at the time worked there Beautiful Soul Sandra and she got it all set up for us. We did accomplish this dream of his to give back at Christmas to these sick babies who had to spend the holidays in the hospital. The first year we did he was not feeling well but he was such a Trooper and push thru. The second year Dawn Sweetman Woudenberg suggested St. Joseph's Children's hospital connected me with the head of the outpatient department where these babies would come in and spend hours per day getting their treatment. The call was made and with the help of Lisa Trovato and Jamie Libertelli we went and were Santa for these babies getting their treatments. We gave blankets and bows this time. The tradition continue for two more years and then Dawn joined us the third year of our give back at Christmas to these precious little munchkins dealing with such a deadly disease. The smiles on these kids faces light our hearts and we knew this was the place for our annual giveback. I told them I adopted them and would continue to give back. They were so happy. Covid pandemic hit and we were not able to donate last year. This year was looking dim as well, because I kept calling and didn't get my contact person, leaving messages but no response I called it a wrap. But the heavenly father had other plans , he knew we had to continue this tradition and so finally I was able to retrieve my voicemails and one of my message was a response from someone else who took the place of my contact person leaving a message that they would love to have this donation this year. Because of the short supply of everything, I was not able to get enough bordering for my blankets so I decided to give back Pillows this year. I got a few but still need alot more for all the covers I have. I am asking my Family, Friends, Co-workers, colleagues to please donate $10 for each pillow to be purchased. That's the cost for each one not including tax.. I know you all know someone who is battling Cancer or has loss the fight . Just think that these are babies and at Christmas time they still have to spend hours in the hospital getting their treatment to fight for another day. Please keep them and their families in your prayers always. Buy a gift for yourself and sponsor another gift to these babies by helping to purchase these pillows. I thank you all in advance and DM me for more information. God bless. One Love Everytime.
