Time to be on the lookout 👀 You should be getting your tax forms either by snail mail or electronically any day now. You’ll need those to file your taxes and get a refund!

✔️Letter 6419: The IRS started sending Letter 6419 in late December 2021 and will continue into January for the 2021 advance Child Tax Credit.
✔️Letter 6475: The IRS will begin issuing Letter 6475 in late January for those who received a Third Economic Impact Payment.

It's official: The IRS announced that the nation's tax season will start on Monday, January 24, 2022.

The IRS has alerted us that some recipients who received direct deposits in July will receive the August payments by mail. Due to an issue expected to be resolved by the September payments, a percentage of these recipients – less than 15% – who received payments by direct deposit in July will be mailed paper checks for the August payment. For those affected, no additional action is needed for the September payment to be issued by direct deposit. ​

Expecting a Child Tax Credit payment? The U.S. Government is sending Advance Child Tax Credit payments to eligible citizens starting in July. If your 2020 tax refund was direct deposited into your GoBank account, the IRS will automatically send it to the same account.
