I picked up this sbc out of a guy's basement. As I was carrying it up I immediately saw the "pacman" cut out on the crank. Who would of thought a 302! It was bored .030 and then forgotten about. It came with 68 Z28 valve covers, a finned balancer, and an incorrect set of 461 double humps.
It was a CE block and I traded it off to a friend who still has it.
When I set this up I had hoped to be able to have everyone post. Sorry, guess I picked the wrong platform.
So......I'm gonna try and change it. Until that happens feel free to send me a message and I will post the information for you.
And here's a 65 396/425 that was decked. About 3years ago I found it less than an hour away from Malcum Durhams shop. I had hoped it was from his Chevelle drag car. But, the date code was wrong for a Z16. I sold it to a guy in MD for his 65 425hp Impala that was missing its original engine about a year later. The date code was perfect for his build.
Vin
Heres my 69 LQ 427, 400hp 3x2 4speed, vin in pics. If you have this vette and want the engine.....Id sell it.
I started this page so that anyone who has an "orphaned engine" and is looking to reunite it with the car it originally came from, or if you are searching for the "born with" engine/drivetrain for your muscle car could post the information here and maybe, just maybe working together we can bring them back together!
