Chapter FK Lakeville
A philanthropic, educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women further their education.
Such a beautiful use of daisies!
At least my calendar has the right idea about how Spring should look! Happy April FK Sisters!
Hi Sisters, Would someone please remind me of the name of the book that is a history of PEO in MN? Thanks! Tia
Came across this today and thought some of you may be interested in checking it out.

Just a reminder that the President's Tea honoring Cathy is this Saturday at 2:00. Refer to Joy's recent email to sign in through Zoom. Wear your tea hat and have a nice hot cup of tea at hand!☕️
When I saw this cute shirt on my granddaughter recently, I asked her where it came from; she said Target. I went on line hoping to find it in an adult size but found only girls' sizes. I ordered an XXL with hopes it would fit me. It did! I actually ordered two extras thinking maybe a PEO sister might want one. If you do, one can be yours for $12. Just let me know!
This quote makes me think of PEOs!
"We need women who are so strong they can be gentle,
so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined they can be free."
Kavita Ramdas
Several FK members had a wonderful picnic dinner last night at Antler's Park. It was a bit windy but still a beautiful evening!
I'm rocking my new daisy flip flops! How do you like them, Sisters? ❤Tia
Last night eight FK sisters enjoyed dinner at Celts in Apple Valley. Lots of laughter and fun!

Thanks to those who participated; you all were phenomenal!😘
Congratulations President Cathy Plattenburg Hoffman! We're so proud of you!
FK Dancers, here's the new video.
FK Readers, Can you relate? ❤️📚
“Why do I read?
I just can't help myself.
I read to learn and to grow, to laugh
and to be motivated.
I read to understand things I've never
been exposed to.
I read when I'm crabby, when I've just
said monumentally dumb things to the
people I love.
I read for strength to help me when I
feel broken, discouraged, and afraid.
I read when I'm angry at the whole
world.
I read when everything is going right.
I read to find hope.
I read because I'm made up not just of
skin and bones, of sights, feelings,
and a deep need for chocolate, but I'm
also made up of words.
Words describe my thoughts and what's
hidden in my heart.
Words are alive--when I've found a
story that I love, I read it again and
again, like playing a favorite song
over and over.
Reading isn't passive--I enter the
story with the characters, breathe
their air, feel their frustrations,
scream at them to stop when they're
about to do something stupid, cry with
them, laugh with them.
Reading for me, is spending time with a
friend.
A book is a friend.
You can never have too many.”

Good Morning FK Sisters!
Here's a beautiful song to lift your spirits during this time that can seem so disheartening. Have a beautiful day! LIPEO, Tia

Remember our less than perfect poinsettias from Christmas? Mine recovered and are thriving outside! The first picture is from early July and the second one I took yesterday. Does anyone else still have their's? Tia
On May 19th, Chapter FK turned 18 years old! Happy Birthday sisters!

Joy, Heather, and I enjoyed a garden group gathering at Katherine's last Saturday. We discussed all things gardening and dined on a delicious orange tart Katherine made. It was wonderful! Check out the recipe below:
