I promise I'll bother people more persistently on the s**t that's needed instead of saying f**k it I'll do it myself or just going without so we can get farther together instead of going faster alone if that makes sense.

Somewhere in Charleston. Spittin a verse on stage at with n’em. Photo by 📸
For the uninitiated for whom the reference wasn’t glaringly obvious, Vampire Hunter J (2001) was inspired by a classic (1985) It’s honestly the first thing I thought of when I heard the beat by Grap Luva. So I ran with it lol. The Best Part is not only streaming but available on all platforms and
Congrats shout out to my bro for winning Charleston City Paper Rapper of the Year Award. And salute to all the nominees forming like Voltron and puttin on a dope ass show at last night. And thanks for inviting me up on stage to spit a verse. My annual New Year’s resolution is always to take more reflections with my peoples when I’m out and about. I managed to snap a few pics with some of the artists that have welcomed me here since moving to Charleston.
Somewhere in Charleston. Plottin and schemin. I want to thank the people that have welcomed and embraced me since I moved here this past summer. Too many to name. They know who they are. Looking forward to getting even more active with you here in 2024. Stay tuned

Peace! I know NONE of these streaming services pay artists enough. But for me, that’s not what this is about. And while this year for me hasn’t seen the progress and growth of years past, that’s also not what this is about.
The fact is, I haven’t made or released any new music other than features for the past couple years. And the EPs I dropped in 2019, 2020, and 2021 weren’t even available on streaming services but for a couple singles.
(Side note)
I placed those EPs exclusively on Bandcamp for my die hard supporters. I recently took them down, as I’m preparing to re master remix and re imagine those songs into one new full length for streaming and physical release. (More on that later)
A majority of music on DSPs doesn’t even get played once. Comparison is the thief of joy. Whether the numbers are big or small, whether they reflect wealth, a living wage, or a drop in the bucket, remember that there are real ears and emotions and minds of real people reflected in these numbers. (At least for most of us lol)
So all things considered, I want to thank everyone playing and enjoying my music everywhere. Thank you all for continuing to rock with me. On ALL platforms. I wish they all presented their stats as nicely as the market share leader does it this way. It’s a nice way for artists to show appreciation for their listeners. Which for me is what it’s about.
Since flute music is en vogue and all the rage at the moment for some reason lol, I’m just gonna leave this here. J-Live “Life Comes In Threes” off the S.P.T.A. Said Person of That Ability album 2011. Produced by yours truly and featuring the incomparable . Seriously though, salute to artists doing what they want, how they want, when they want. Be it changing genres and taking up instruments in their late 40s, or rapping til their 70s as they get wiser with age and experience. Do you. Always.
“She Said What?” Quantic Soul Orchestra feat. yours truly. Saw a lot of old friends and made a lot of new friends on my off day in Barcelona at Bigup
