Got a garage that you want to finish and get a clean look for? Here you can see everything has been taped/sanded and primed/sealed. Edge trim added around the bottom of the drywall to give a seamless leveled out straight edge. Last some floating shelves added to create extra storage space off the floor.

Another beautiful bathroom renovation completed! This bathroom was gutted to the studs, exhaust fan added, all new mold tough drywall, new tub and shower plumbing, a custom vanity complete with Corian counter top and shower walls. topped off with shampoo nook. Great choices in mirror/medicine cabinet, hardware and light.

Thanks again to the great teamwork of Due North Mechanical for plumbing, SNG Electrical Services for all the rewiring, and Hallmark kitchens for their custom cabinets, and corian shower walls!

Two jobs making better use of spaces.
1. A large walk in closet that had nothing going on, now has a ton of storage, and some closet rods to hang clothes.
2. Making a closet from a awkward space in a old farm house. Framed in new walls, and door (reused to match existing), drywall, paint, and trims. Also added a knee wall and a new rail.

WE ARE MOVING!
Arruda Contracting will be moving to Mount Forest at the end of May. With that change, comes a change of territory that I will be covering.
I will still be serving Guelph, Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, and Ayr; and any places that are within a hour (or so) range of Mount Forest, will be up for jobs as well.
I want to thank my many customers who have helped keep this company afloat for the past 9 years. Without your trust in my workmanship, I would've never gotten past the first year. I met so many great people and families, and I look forward to meeting more!

Another great job completed. A kitchen reno that went super smooth because we had the right crews.
New flooring throughout, touch up walls and repaint, new baseboards and trims, pot lights, under counter lighting, new vanity and kitchen cabinets, stone tops and backsplash, new toilet and plumbing. A great job from everyone involved, and the customers were so appreciative they gave us a thank you card.

A little bathroom reno. New drywall, flooring, trims and base, and a vanity cabinet ready for plumbers to come in and finish the connections.

It's been a busy few weeks. Here's a custom set of closet barn doors to match the bedroom door, and FINALLY, Ikea got the rest of the doors and drawers in this bedroom closet/ storage set up.

Another Ikea kitchen completed with a subway tile backsplash. This rental unit is ready to go!

Some custom White melamine shelves with white bead board as the backer. This is for a very well used sewing room. Those shelves will be filled with fabrics and books in very short order.

A couple of jobs over the past year were smaller but still great jobs. Simple things like new flooring and repainting, can bring a room back to life. Also, removing 40 year old wood paneling and replacing it with drywall really updates things!

It is easy to think of this job as being just that, only a job; but it is the very backbone of my family that allows us to have a warm home, food on the table and clothes on our backs.

A while back I made a customized hidden book case/ false wall.
The customer painted it themselves and the final product is quite nice! I always enjoy jobs where I have to really use my brain to come up with ways to make things work the way the customer wants!

As I usually do, I often forget to take pictures, and share them on the page. Here is a nice little mud room/ laundry room that I just finished. Ikea cabinets around the laundry area, and a large pantry to the side of a custom built bench seat and storage area in a awkward space behind a garage door. A fun little reno and a happy set of customers!
New floor by Floors Xtra and the customer took care of painting the walls.

Looking back at one of the best things I got to build.

Finished up a main floor mini renovation. New flooring throughout. New drywall in laundry room, and paint throughout the back half, including new ceiling in dining room and bedroom. New baseboards and trims in main hallway, and the piece de-resistance a custom ceiling grid with color changing LED lights above, topped of with plexiglass for a very cool giant skylight effect!

It's a great time to get some end of summer jobs done around the house. Due to scheduling / material delivery conflicts I have a couple of free weeks to tackles those small, or slightly bigger jobs for you.
If you're looking for a bigger project to get done; Finish your basement, kitchen reno, etc, make sure to book in now for that job as some materials are still hard to come by, and may need to be pre-ordered.

Well I put off pictures of this for a long time because it was a LOT of work and I didn't want to do another giant deck this year, but it seems like a good time to share.

New deck ready for summer!

Framed up and drywalled the top half of a knee wall to create some privacy in a attic bedroom. Installed a rail as well so you don't walk off the edge. Ready for finishing.

This master bedroom used to be two separate rooms, with a stair case where the new bathroom is. Everything is ready for the client to do their final paint touch ups, and clean up. Due North Mechanical took care of all the plumbing needs, as well as splitting a hvac line up to serve the entire room under both main windows.
