Night one, arriving after a rather eventful journey from Nairobi. Enroute to the villa, we watched in awe as our vans wheel came off our vehicle, riding alongside us for almost 20 meters or more! Luckily we didn't topple over then, and saved the toppling for this white swimwear shenanigan. While I cannot reveal the secrets of some of the going-ons, what I do know is the initial meeting of cultures and countries like Kenya, Uganda, Mumbai and Singapore were just epic and filled with anticipation and vibe! The beginning of a very special trip, ending the night with a pool party in the pool! Barriers non existent as we shared more than you know ( )

My darling son, 6 years old today and what joy you have already given us. Your kindness and compassion constantly surprise us, and fills us with such pride. Your love and respect for everyone you meet, is a constant blessing and we are so grateful for you. May you continue to soar, rise and dream your dreams, because you are an achiever and already follow the universal laws of belief, gratitude and positivity. This is the birthday month for me, and although this year will be 'the one before 40', I'm still embracing the 38 year old wisdom, and reflecting:
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

We control nothing, but we control everything- when you can control your self.

So we land in London this morning after a year or so away in Kenya. There were mixed emotions of pure joy and a heavy heart as the last time I was in London I got the news of my mum passing away, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Not to mention how that moment led to a domino effect and landed us back in Kenya, my mothers' home town in the truest sense. So, we took a walk through our park, and started to reminisce about my mums' love of trees. We floated towards the 'big tree', where last year was the 'climbing tree' to many locals- only to find it boarded up. I think too many people swung recklessly on those magnificent branches... Regardless, we stood there remembering these priceless moments and my mother, and as if in one simultaneous flash, my eyes and both my kids' eyes noticed this. How incredible that this act of kindness so coincidentally (or not) acted purely as my mothers reassurance that she's always with us. ❤️

Knowledge is power but character... IS respect.
