Turkey Waddle 5k - Midlothian, VA

All 2023 Waddlers. It has come to my attention (I looked at the FB page this evening and noticed....) that I did not do a recap of our 16th Annual TW5k!! No excuses so here we go.... Before I give you the stats, I again along with all of the TW5k volunteers and Salisbury Presbyterian Church wish to thank all of you for "showing up and toeing up" at this past Thanksgiving event. Can't believe it's 16 years and getting better every year - thanks to you all. We'll keep it simple if you all keep showing up to help support the greater Richmonds need for nutrition for those who are in need. OK: the simple stats. You all helped us raise almost $20,000 dollars (registrations + donations) along with over 700 pounds of shelf stable canned food this year! We had over 1,700 participants as well and on by all metrics this is the BEST year ever! Proceeds will go to support Feed More, St. Mathias and First Baptist Church food banks which is directly connected to our broader communities in need of incremental nutrition (not only for Thanksgiving but year round...). We will be back at it this Thanksgiving and we look forward to seeing all of you back again in November.

It is that time of year to get ready to show up and toe up for the Salisbury Presbyterian Church 16th annual Turkey Waddle 5k run, walk and waddle.... on Thanksgiving day to benefit Feedmore and local hunger relief. See registration link below. We will also be collecting canned goods to help augment our support for local hunger relief. We will keep you updated as we get closer to T-Giving day but feel free to send along to your friends, post on your other socials and in general help get the word out. Last year we had roughly 1,300 participants and we have grown each year and expect this year to be even better! Get your training on and see you in a couple months!

21.5 hours until we show up and toe up (9a.m. sharp start) to the 15th annual Salisbury Presbyterian Church Turkey Waddle 5k run/walk that supports FeedMore and other local feeding ministries. The weather is shaping up to be another beautiful Thanksgiving day so go ahead and sign up on line (link below). Please bring a canned good as well and we will have the FeedMore van there to collect these donations as well. It's not "required" but is encouraged to help with physical food donations.
