My beautiful patient wanted fuller lips without looking overdone. Before/After photos.

My rule for treating the the frontalis (forehead lines) is to also treat the glabella (angry lines) at the same time. Those two areas go together like peanut butter and jelly. The glabella muscles are really strong so if you relax the frontalis without relaxing to glabella, you will have a smooth forehead with a heavy brow look. Key is to fully treat the glabella and sprinkle baby droplets of tox across the forehead.

An amazing alternative to a surgical facelift, thread lifts provide lightning-fast results. Threads are inserted into the skin, and the tension from the threads provide a lifting effect by pulling the skin together. .gunsandneedles used “foundational threads” on this patient. Foundation threads work best on fuller faces with heavier tissue to instantly lift and contour the face. Volume-depleted patients can start with some filler, foundation threads and then top it off with “superficial threads”. Superficial threads are smaller than foundation threads, so more need to be used in order to give more structure to the tissue.

J U V E D E R M • L I P S | For my beautiful Andy, the main focus was to shape her upper lip. We accomplished this by adding structure to her vermilion border and perking up her weak Cupid’s bow.
