Just a reminder that EXTRA CREDIT journal pages are due for all classes tomorrow and Thursday. This is a chance for students to bump up their art grade by half a letter for the first quarter report card. Hoping many students take advantage of this opportunity!

Welcome back to the new school year! Excited for lots of creative endeavors this year! Wanted to start off this year by giving a tour of our beautiful art room at Coolidge. We are lucky to have such an amazing space!
Be on the look out for artwork coming home today! All art from students in groups 61, 66, 71 and 74 went home at the end of their classes. Please ask to see their work! They are very proud of their accomplishments in art this year.
What a busy week in the art room! So many projects going on... 6th graders finished clay animals with human characteristics, 7th graders started decorating masks, 7th grade enrichment students continue to work on new murals for the school and 8th graders in the 3D art elective classes plastered their hands for a new project. Phew! Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend!

THRILLED to find out that the art room received a grant from the Reading Education Foundation for 10 iPads and a Sync tray! So excited to get these next year and put them into the hands of our very creative students here at Coolidge!
