Did you know the coloured dots on the Iris Boulenciel boules are not painted on? They are made out of an advanced plastic resin which is drilled into the surface of the boule.

For this reason it will not wear away easily. As you play you will likely see some chips in the colour (more so on terrains with large stones), but the colour will still be clear to see for a long time.
