I just tried the collaboration beer I brewed with Equity Brewing Company (in conjunction with tomorrow’s show), and I am very happy with how it came out! It’s called Nate’s Lime Milkshake IPA, and it tastes like a very lime-y hazy IPA (but not like an actual milkshake). My first time brewing beer in an actual brewery!

Opening night of Romeo & Juliet at Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park

For anyone in the Oklahoma City region in the next couple weeks, I will be performing in the Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park’s production of Romeo & Juliet. I’ll be performing eight original new songs as a kind of musical-commentary-meets-traveling-player-meets Greek chorus.

So my second scheduled performance in many years is a bit of an interesting one. I'll be joining my good friend singer-songwriter Tim Grimm on a large 1800's schooner off the coast of Maine this June. We'll be sailing, swimming, and singing (and sleeping) for 5 days. It's not exactly pass-the-hat pricing, but it will include lobster dinners and feature me performing many of the new songs I've been obsessively writing for the past few months (as well as several old ones). June 20-24.
