Hpc3oe- Hannah's baby
My parenting project :)
At ten months now my baby can crawl, pull from seated position, and squat. My little girl is catching up on these skills!
At 6 months old you may start introducing soft food to baby when both the doctor and you feel your baby is ready. My baby started a little later at almost 8 months but these are some examples of what baby can have.
Some more skills that Cass has learned now that she is 9 months old!🙈
It’s crazy how time flies! My Cassandra is already half a year old! She’s developing more motor skills now. She’s now starting to figure out how to sit up by herself! She can also roll from her back to her stomach and vice versa. I can’t believe how fast she’s growing up!
After a few months my baby, Cassandra has been developing well. She is now three months old🤯. She has learned so many skills. We have been going to mommy and baby yoga too! It’s good for both of us! She gets to be with other baby’s and I can exercise as well as make new mom friends and have people who can relate to me and go through similar situations. Im so glad I did this because it’s helping my baby and me!
During pregnancy many things can affect your growing baby. Like smoking, drugs, alcohol, and caffeine. I have personally avoided these and significantly cut down on the amount of coffee I consumed. Once and a while I had a small coffee or chose decaf options. These outside factors are called teratogens. And they can seriously harm your child while pregnant and even if you breast feed😳. So it’s very important not to do drugs and other teratogens while pregnant or atleast cut down before you cause harm to the baby. (I’m very glad I did cut down on caffeine and avoided other teratogens, as my baby is super healthy.)
Cassandra got new born pictures this week❤️❤️ so cute
Being a new mom is exhausting! This first week has been crazy and I’ve gotten sooo tired! But this has been so amazing too. During this first week baby has gained 2/3 of an ounce everyday, eats every two to three hours, and suckles, burps, and has first bowel movements. This week has been scary and amazing at the same time. I can’t wait for all the many more weeks with Cassandra! ❤️
Last night after a quick 12 hour labour my baby girl Cassandra was born!😍 she was born with the healthy weight of 7.9 pounds at 2:37am. It was a quick labour with no drugs at all! It was painful at some points but I’m glad I had a birth plan- I chose a midwife in a local hospital and did a water or pool birth. My baby girl was very healthy and scored well on the new born tests.(like APGAR scale). I’m so glad everything went well and to welcome my baby girl to the world!🥰
Symptoms of labour: Period-like cramps.
Backache.
Diarrhoea.
A small bloodstained discharge as your cervix thins and the mucus plug drops out (this is called a 'show')
A gush or trickle of water as the membranes break.
Contractions.
As I have recently in the past few hours been experiencing these symptoms I have since gone into the hospital. More updates to come. 👶
We’re due soon &we still haven’t found a gender neutral baby name! We’ve decided it needs to start w “C” https://www.prokerala.com/kids/baby-names/unisex/c/

“Some women describe Braxton Hicks contractions as tightening in the abdomen that comes and goes. Many women say these “false” contractions feel like mild menstrual cramps. Braxton Hicks contractions may be uncomfortable, but they do not cause labor or open the cervix.” Lately as I am in my last month of pregnancy and my due date is quickly approaching (June 10) I’ve been feeling false contractions also known as Braxton Hicks contractions. At first I was super alarmed and I was panicking because I actually thought I was going into labour! 😨They were very uncomfortable and felt like period cramps! But after some research I was really relieved that I wasn’t going into labor quite yet! 😌🤰
Nesting usually peaks in the third trimester, but the urge to clean, organize, and prepare your home can start as early as 5 months along. As the days count down to having our baby I’ve been feeling the need to clean our home and set up our baby’s room. My spouse did a great job painting! (As I obviously didn’t paint since I was worried the fumes would hurt me and the baby). We decided to keep the room gender neutral as we don’t know what gender our child would be.
As I am in my third and final trimester I am experiencing more symptoms. Like back pain, varicose veins, and shortness of breath.
My month 8 baby belly! In this month baby may assume a head down position in the uterus. They will hopefully stay this way until birth.
Finally got everything for baby we’re ready for you!! (Always do your research for large big ticket items like car seats and strollers.) I also recommend buying stuff like clothing second hand or on sale because it’s very expensive to have a baby.
Bought my car seat off amazon today. It’s very important to do some research when buying car seats. They do expire and not all car seats are made equal. I don’t recommend getting a used car seat as you don’t know if it’s been in a accident, therefore making it unsafe as well it maybe expired.
Got a 6 month ultrasound sound.. baby still healthy we want to keep the gender a surprise tho🙈
“Fetal Doppler ultrasound: A Doppler ultrasound test uses sound waves to evaluate blood as it flows through a blood vessel. Fetal Doppler ultrasound can determine if blood flow to the placenta and fetus is normal.” I just had this test (5 months/second trimester). This test showed that everything concerning blood flow to the baby is good. We are still very healthy 👍
I’ve been thinking about the benefits and disadvantages of breast and bottle feeding. (Health benefits for both with breast feeding, convenience of both, and costs.) I plan on returning to the work force soon after so for us formula feeding is better since any one can feed baby and I can focus on work.🍼
Being about 4 months pregnant is interesting.. getting more heartburn lately. But my baby will be starting to get eyelids brows nails and teeth. And more cool stuff. Kinda cool 🤷🏻♀️
