Meet some of the newest members of the Hoot Reading team! 📚
Both of them live in Toronto, Canada.
Chris Gauthier - Product Owner
Chris is part of our Tech Team and started with us in July. He owns a telescope and often spends clear nights stargazing. He loves bungee jumping and has gone five times! Chris enjoys baking his own bread, is the eldest of five siblings, and took dance lessons for most of his childhood.
Maddy Oswald - Data Analyst
Maddy works in Literacy and Learning and started working for Hoot in June. She has a PhD in developmental psychology from the University of Chicago and was a theatre major in college. She has a small, fluffy dog named Penelope. Maddy is a cake-baking machine and loves drinking Dr. Pepper.

Meet our new Account Executives, Katie Boylan and Sean McQuade.
Katie lives in Chicago and is a Certified Reading Specialist.
She LOVES teaching and reading. 📚
She once taught at her old elementary school alongside her first-grade teacher—the person who taught HER how to read!
She is a mom of twin 2-year-olds, which keeps her busy. They love pickles and the book Go, Dog, Go!
She’s a city gal with a country heart. Her family has farmed for over 200 years.🚜
Her favorite book is Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris.
Sean was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, and currently still lives there. 🐊
He attended Rollins College—the same one that the beloved Mr. Rogers went to!
Despite being married to a Canadian, Sean has shockingly NEVER seen snow! ❄️
He has a self-proclaimed undefeated boxing career. 💪
His favorite book is The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway.
Both have made a great addition to our team and we're very happy to have them join us! 🧡
