My cozy, dreamy and creative happy place!
Oh how this space has evolved, and let me tell ya it is still FAR from perfect or “Pinterest” worthy. But it makes me happy and that’s all that matters.
Who’s glad I finally got my s**t together with my under desk wire situation? Thanks amazon, lol.
I have slowly been building this cute little corner in an office I share with my husband, Dylan. Shoutout to him for letting me go completely crazy on my half of this space because it is drastically different than his side lol.
This is where I create. This is where I work. This is where I game with my husband. A little slice of heaven in my home and day-to-day life.
I am slowly going to be sharing more of the types of things I use in my day-to-day to make business and creating a lot easier, just for fun.
Ever since making the shift to just SHARE my journey as a creative online, it’s felt a lot less intense to actually post stuff on here.

Happy 4 years, my dearest daydream co 💖☁️
I always have a lot of emotions when this day comes around, because this is quite possibly the first thing I ever really went after for me and me only. One of My first acts of self love, you could say.
4 years ago, as an ambitious daydreamer, i decided to take a leap and start a design studio with no clients, barley any money, and a hope that it would pay off.
I remember sitting in my home office at the time, sobbing because I had just gotten laid off of a few freelance gigs I had. The plan was to just rebrand myself as a freelancer but my biz coach convinced me to pursue this, and I’m so happy I did!
With that being said, there has been a million ups and downs, but that’s a part of owning a business.
I’m proud of who this venture has pushed me to become and I am grateful for the people I’ve met on this journey. Thank you to all of the clients and friends that have made this possible.
Not sure what’s coming next, but I promise it won’t be boring ✨ thanks for sticking around for the journey. ☁️

5 quick canva tips to improve your design ✨
✨ 1. upload your brand kit - this is an easy no-brainer! ;)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ 2. export your files in high res - it will look good AF on your feed, I promise!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ 3. search keywords within your brand aesthetic to find cute templates and graphics
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ 4. change the colors of the brand elements that you use in your design to your brand colors! if they don't allow you to, don't use them or make sure if you do use them that they match your brand aesthetic.

✨ 5. add links to your PDF's! this is the best tip for anyone creating a downloadable freebie, e-book or price guide!

Sooo you may be thinking... why all the Canva content all of a sudden? Or why would I be talking about Canva when I'm a professional graphic designer (trained in Adobe)? Here's why:
I've had several conversations with small business owners about how they don't feel confident doing design independently even after working with a brand designer and solidifying their brand. It takes them hours to create a social graphic or a business card, or they don't feel good about showing up and posting because of how they think about their design abilities.
I've been teaching at an art institute for two years and I feel like more than anything, this has helped me learn how to really teach people the fundamentals of design. And that's exactly what I'm going to do for small business owners via Canva.
Why Canva? It's easy, free (mostly), and accessible. I still use Adobe every single day in my day to day, and I would highly encourage people to learn it if you want to take it to that level. But if you're looking to brush up on your Canva skills and learn more, be sure to keep following me! I'm working on something that I truly believe will really help people and I'm so excited about it.
Don't worry, Daydream Co services are here to stay!! We're just going to be helping small biz owners gain visual brand confidence along the way 😉

feeling discouraged from your likes, follows, or even the algorithm? don't! it takes 5 to 7 impressions at a MINIMUM for someone to remember your brand. I would even argue that it takes longer. with that being said, consistency is key but here are some other essential factors:
✨ using the same fonts and colors (it's okay to experiment with this till you find what works for you)
✨ be consistent (whatever this looks like for you, posting a certain amount of times, or showing up on your stories every day, or emailing your list every week, etc)
✨ establish an aesthetic! this feeds directly into your branding, but it's so important. for me, anytime someone sees something with a "dreamy retro vibe", they think of me and daydream co! so key!

my quick go-to tips for making a canva template on-brand!
✨ 1. use your brand fonts! this is a no-brainer. you may have to adjust some sizing, in this case make a copy of the template so you can reference back to it for sizing guides.
✨ 2. add your logo mark or IG handle. this is a fun addition! especially if you have a ton of sharable content, you want credit for that ;) and your logo mark will further establish your brand recognition
✨ 3. use brand colors. don't stray from your color palette too much, this is important! ;)
✨ 4. use a pattern or texture that aligns with your brand aesthetic. maybe the template has one that fits well or maybe you need to search in the "elements" section of canva. whatever it is, this is a fun element to add to a template!
✨ 5. add in your own photos. whether it's your own brand photography, or a photo from the curated library you've created from canva or unsplash (or any other stock photo website). but i would highly recommend using your own! ;)

there are quite a few new faces around here, so hey, hi, hello! I'm holly and I'm the magic maker here @ daydream co HQ.
Daydream Co started out as my WILD daydream in college, and then I quit my 9-5 right before grad and started freelancing full-time. Fast-forward to feeling unfulfilled and knowing that I was meant for more, and Daydream Co was born ✨I'm 3 years in and I've never looked back 💕
Fun facts about me:
- I am so much more than just a designer, I'm an entrepreneur through and through
- I have two pups, a Boston Terrier named Skye and a Pug named Luna and they're my fur babies
- I'm such a foodie, I love to cook and bake especially for my friends and family
- I really want to visit Iceland someday
