Ovethinking anything doesn't solve a thing, I've struggled with this in the past and I know how difficult it can be
👇🏼
Overthinking is defined as "a loop of unproductive thoughts" or "an excessive amount of thoughts that are unnecessary"
UNNECESSARY ya heard?
Take my 🖐 and listen closely
- write down your thoughts
- focus on the problem
- ask yourself what is causing you to think this way
- consider another viewpoint
- solve the problem
- increase your confidence and self esteem
Do something radical and out there such as choosing yourself and making it an intentional practice... Imagine!
I know that your main issue is not the actual problem and I work to help you uncover what that problem actually is and my aim is to empower you with the tools to help you love a stress free and fulfilled life
In your session I will ask you a series of questions for you to tell me what is going on for your right now, this will help me to uncover the root cause of your anxiety, stress and low moods, once we have worked out what you are struggling with, we will work together using the evidence based 5 Ways to Wellbeing framework (which is endorsed by the NHS) and some stress relief/selfcare/breathing exercises and more, to put a plan of action together to help you tackle and over come your struggles and homework you to do to help yourself further. Everything that we put on the plan, will be suitable for you, where you are at now and I will NOT, I promise you, make you do anything that you don't want to do
Once you have booked your consultation you'll be sent some resources to help you and your families wellbeing, a wheel of life self assessment worksheet and a planner for yoh to write down your goals plans and to help you track your progress

Meditation for beginners
Sit or lie comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and belly. Simply focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity. If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.
Try for 2 minutes, set a timer.
Trust me its a game changer!
It's number 3 for me!
Part 2 coming soon

January can be a funny month can't it?
For me it brings a mix of emotions plus the fact that today, it's raining and I don't fancy taking the kids to their usual Saturday swimming session.
If I don't go, I'll be doing some closet organisation by emptying it and putting aside anything I don't need for the charity shop. I've not done this for around 6 months and I know there's so many clothes that are now way too big for me.
So I'm turning around this miserable morning and putting a plan together for myself
So let me know, how are you feeling and what's your plan for today?
Do we have an idea what confidence is, but I googled it and this is what I came across
"What Is Confidence? Confidence means feeling sure of yourself and your abilities — not in an arrogant way, but in a realistic, secure way. Confidence isn't about feeling superior to others. It's a quiet inner knowledge that you're capable"
There are so many contributors to low self confidence and it varies person to person.
Elements such as personal stress, tragedies, not having you needs met as a child, hurtful words from someone, abuse, trauma plus environmental factors all have an impact on how we feel about ourselves.
But just know, it's NOT your fault and it doesn't mean that you are a failure
I've spoke about my own experiences with low self confidence through my posts, having my dreams sucked out of me at a young age, suffering after a traumatic birth, toxic relationships - plus an underlying issue of anxiety over the years - all these things prevented me from showing up fully as a woman, mother and business owner.
It also takes a lot of confidence when dealing with tons of professionals as we navigated the autism pathway, testing, appointments and meetings. These people can *really* knock you for 6 if you allow them to. So I quickly had to stand up for me and my children.
Now though, through my journey, I have become more confident, self assured and it's because I spent time addressing the things about myself that I needed to improve to be where I wanted to be in life.
I hope that the time you spend here on my page is helping you on your journey too ♡
Ah yes, forgiveness... something I really struggle with myself, for many reasons...

Remember these 5 things when you are having a bad day

My aim is to encourage everyone to start taking care of their mental well being and learning the tools to be able to self manage before you get to crisis mode.
I believe wholeheartedly that our life and how we live it is making a massive contribution to our mental wellbeing and as through my work as a Connect 5 Counsellor, supporting people with these every day struggles is what we do.
Things such as confidence, finance & debt, lack of social support, employment issues, kids, life admin... these issues can magnify the deep rooted issues that lots of us have.
My latest workbook & planner is not a new one, I've been using it with clients for the past year and it helps us address some of the main areas of our lives where we feel we may be struggling. I know it works.
Once you can manage your everyday stressors, your life will be so much more better for you. This is backed up by studies and research too.
✨️ It's so simple, print the planner in full or simply print the pages which you need at that particular time

There's no set theme for my posts other than it all being beneficial and helpful for your to sort your s**t out...
For me being organised is a work in progress, the more I declutter and carry on with a minimal lifestyle the more organised I can be and the more I can show up in other areas of my life... for my kids, myself and my business
For a year after the last lockdown was over I had booked and filled 3 large skips and spent time going through everything I had accumulated since the kids were little and most of the crap went to the tip.
I got BRUTAL on it all and we all improved massively because of it
It takes work, I know, I didn't set a target and I took my time, doing a little bit every day.
My whole aim was to improve our wellbeing and decluttering/being organised has been one of the most important habits that I've implemented...
Such a hard lesson isn't it... but if a person is causing you any kind of stress then staying away from them is the only option.

There are no rules or targets, see my latest blog post in my bio for more information!
I can't wait to have you on board

Fear is your friend... remember that as you move through life...
It's the start of a new year, not a new you or me though, you are who you are and I don't fall for the new year new me crap.
I don't talk about resolutions, we talk about goals and aims.
Looking back on my previous year of memories, moments and madness I wouldn't change a thing. I achieved many things out of my comfort zone, met some wonderful people and took some risks.
You see, everything that you go through teaches you a lesson and there are many blessings woven into each moment and I don't regret anything. I take the lessons and move on.
Life is a delicate balance of all the things we need and want to do and this year you will see me tip the scales and push myself some more.
It's took me 40 years to feel thisbway and to find the confidence in using my voice more, even with all my qualifications, my childhood conditioning still made me feel like what I had to say, wasn't important.
We are all on a journey which looks different every day, every month, every season and every year.
My message for this year is this:
Honour yourself, give yourself grace and take the small steps forward to be who you really want to be
Love, me xx
