King had a rare combination of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (high risk) and G6PD which is lifelong a King is an asset to his community.
He enjoys volunteering and helping others. He models in fashion shows and participates in walks to advocate, raise money and spread awareness about childhood cancer and bullying. King dreams to be a professional model, artist, basketball player and chef.

I am 2 years old recieving a blood transfusion as a result of a crisis triggered by g6pd which is an incurable condition causing red blood cells to break down in response to certain medications, infections, or other stressors. Few weeks after this photo I was diagnosed with blood cancer also known as Leukemia. After diagnosis a mediport was surgically implanted into my chest and that's how I recieved all transfusions of blood and chemotherapy until the age of 6.
I collect art supplies and toys for the children in the hospital because I know first hand the impact it had on me and when I see the smiles on the children I give toys and kits too.

Our Story
My name is King. At 2 years old, I had a rare combination of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and G6PD. I beat cancer but I still have the blood disorder that is lifelong and incurable.
After 3.5 years of chemotherapy treatment, I have experienced several severe side effects. Vincristine toxicity; leaving me unable to walk for months, nerve damage throughout my body (neuropathy), PTSD, brain swelling (leukoencephalopathy) and mouth sores are just a few. I spent months hospitalized and isolated in a small hospital room. I've had countless blood and platelet transfusions, blood draws, lumbar punctures (with and without spinal chemo) chemotherapy infusions in my port, sedations and hospital induced infections. I've been through so much and often reminded that I am a strong, courageous and inspirational young man. Regardless of all that I have been through and still going through, I am on a mission to spread awareness about childhood cancer and bullying.
We want nothing more than to cure me & all other kids of this awful childhood disease.
