Some words about the making of the poster:
Bobby’s journey of finding his identity through personal loss was deeply inspiring to me.
The 13 lines that create the shapes are referring to the 13 minutes of the story.
They illustrate the steps that Bobby has to climb to meet the angels and the ocean where he lost his beloved father.
They represent the realm of the living and the realm of the dead.
The up and down. The urban and the natural.
They change from steady, as father’s precise walk on the ground, to winding, as Bobby’s walk on earth.
At the synthesis center, all the lines come together, creating the brightest point and representing the transition.
The empty space is massive to emphasize the void, the loss and the grief.
