A class act.
It’s been an honour to work with, and in recent weeks campaign alongside, Andy. A more dedicated, dignified and diligent politician you will not find.
Thank you, Andy, for your devoted service and for the huge legacy you leave in the West Midlands.
Absolutely gutted to be so near, yet so far.
It has been my honour to serve citizens in the WM for the last seven years, and I hope I have done it with dignity & integrity.
I am proud of what we have achieved together and I hope my successor can build upon it.
Thank you all.
Sadly it wasn’t to be today, but I am proud of the campaign we ran.
Thank you to the 241,827 West Midlands residents who placed their trust in me, and to everyone who supported my campaign.
Congratulations to Simon Foster — I wish you all the best for your second term.

Polls have now closed! 🗳️
To everyone in the West Midlands who supported local Conservatives candidates, Andy Street and me in today’s elections — thank you 💙
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past few weeks 👏🏼
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the brilliant & dedicated activists who have braved the wind, rain and even hail to spread my ambitious plans to every corner of the WM these last few weeks 💚
It really means so much, thank you 👏🏻
With a force in special measures, police stations facing closure, and the highest rate of knife crime in England & Wales, Labour have let our region down on crime. 🥀
That’s why I’m asking you to back me today and my plan to get a grip on crime in the West Midlands. 🗳️🔵
Great to be out with Andy Street and Shaun Bailey MP supporting Cllr Scott Chapman in Friar Park!
A busy morning out with Andy Street speaking to residents in Wolverhampton and Bloxwich ahead of polling day. 🗳️
I joined Saqib Bhatti MP to discuss concerns about the proposed closure of Solihull Police Station — and the campaign to bring a front desk to Chelmsley Wood.
If elected I’ll halt the closures, conduct a full review, and ensure Solihull borough has the police presence it deserves.
Another busy day today campaigning in Aldridge, Wolverhampton and Halesowen.
With our police force in special measures, police stations facing closure and the highest rate of knife crime in England & Wales, I’m campaigning to bring an end to Labour failure on crime in the West Midlands.
Thank you to Wendy Morton, James Morris, Jack Lopresti and Mike Newton for your support today!
I spent time with Cllr Yvonne Clements over the weekend discussing anti-social behaviour issues in Elmdon Park - including off road bikes.
A key part of my return to proper local policing will be tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in our parks and green spaces.
Another great day of campaigning across the Black Country yesterday. 🗳️
Nearly four weeks after the PCC's own deadline for improvement, West Midlands Police remains in special measures.
The West Midlands deserves better than this.
If elected, one of my immediate priorities will be to get the force out of special measures as quickly as possible.
Great to join so many candidates and volunteers on the doorstep in Coventry this morning 🗳️ 🌳
A great day of campaigning across the Black Country yesterday!
I spent time in Wolverhampton, West Bromwich and Cradley & Wollescote supporting Andy Street and local candidates, and my campaign to end over a decade of Labour failure on crime in the WM.
The latest ONS figures show that the West Midlands continues to have the highest rate of knife crime in England & Wales.
This can't go on.
It's time for fresh leadership to get a grip on crime and make our region safer.
Good to spend time yesterday on Lye High St with Cllr Dave Borley and local candidate Muhammad Ali.
Tackling crime and anti social behaviour on our high streets will be a key part of my return to proper local policing if elected.
Great to end the day in Merry Hill, Wolverhampton, supporting local candidates and speaking to residents about my plans to tackle crime.
This morning I joined Cllr David Pears to speak to residents in Sutton Coldfield.
I know lots of residents are concerned at Labour's proposed closure of Sutton Coldfield Police Station.
If elected on May 2nd I will immediately halt the police station closures pending a full review, to ensure local officers remain accessible and visible in our communities.
Too many people are being violently killed and injured on our streets.
Enough’s enough.
If elected, my priority from day one will be to take robust action to tackle violent crime in our region.

To get a grip on crime we need to see a return to proper local policing.
If elected as your PCC, I’ll prioritise getting funding and resources to the policing frontline.

Thank you to everyone who came to support us!
This morning I joined Cllr Kerry Lewis and the Friends of Wordsley Parks to learn more about their work.
Our parks and open spaces are really valuable and a key part of local police teams’ work must be to keep them safe and free of crime and anti-social behaviour.
