Glenville resident launches The Book Hive, a pop-up bookstore that aims to create community One thing that sets her shop apart is the prices. The books that she orders are publisher overstock so she’s able to get discounted new books and pass the savings on to customers, usually selling books for half the retail price.

In addition to increasing accessibility and affordability of owning new books, I am most excited to highlight the voices of women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in my book inventory. Acknowledging the intersectionality of these issues and systemic racism, many books I carry address each of these lived experiences. I can't wait to share these books and many more with you soon!

This book is the inspiration for The Book Hive's name! It is a breezy read with interesting tid bits about beekeeping. It will resonate with anyone going through life changes. I'll have copies at upcoming events! Dates coming very soon.

I have to keep reminding myself that allllll of these books are NOT for ME! I mean...who needs 6 copies of Death at the Manor by Katharine Schellman just for themselves?? ....although, I could keep them in different rooms so that I always have it within reach!

Making book page flowers for the pop-up display! Currently at novice level. Once I reach expert, I'll be adding this as an event offering! Stay tuned!
