With the weather changing we thought we would post some helpful tips to try to help you through this storm.

*Keep the gas tank near full to avoid ice
in the tank and fuel lines

*Protect yourself when shoveling snow by
bending your knees, taking frequent breaks
and using a small to medium lightweight
shovel.

*Turn faucets on during very cold days
and let a thin stream of water flow
from the tap to lessen the chance of
pipes freezing. Opening up cabinet
doors under sinks to allow house heat
in will help as well.

*Be cautious if your cat likes being
outside. Cats that are left outdoors may
crawl into a warm car engine to get
warm, which can kill them. It's much
safer to keep your cat indoors during
the winter

Most of all take your time, leave plenty of distance between you and other vehicles, and allow extra time to get to destinations if you must travel out tonight!
