Butch's Antiques and Collectibles
Fourth generation dealer in antiques and collectibles. Selling online through eBay, Etsy, Facebook
Ran across this movie theater giveaway promoting upcoming films and shorts from 1924. Just need to find some old school, red and blue 3D glasses.
Throwback Thursday: Ran across this No on California Prop 7/Anti Daylight Savings Time pamphlet from 1930. Indeed, Prop 7 was shot down with almost 76% of voters casting No votes, mostly thanks to "Think of the CHILDREN" scare tactics.
About 10 years ago, I was doing yard work around the homestead and found the head of a Mego Batman. I thought, "Who in the family would have been stupid enough to decapitate a Mego Batman???" I recently found this pic of me back in the day with a Mego Spiderman.....
At first I thought, "blasphemy". But knowing how expensive restoring a vintage Castle Grayskull would be with all original parts, why not do a custom repaint if all you have is the shell? Perhaps even create a diorama out of it?
Hello, dollies. These dolls were made in the 1990's. And although most are marked "limited edition" and have their COA, if they are one out of 5000 or more made? That's not very "limited".
Throwback Thursday to when I was killin' brews and pimpin' the most.
A friend of mine posted about TV commercial earworms the other day and it reminded me of...."looks like a pump, feels like a sneaker!"
Happy Left Hander's Day!
Let's see...pencil toppers, scented markers, pencil box, Trapper Keeper and lunch box with thermos. What else did an 80s kid need going back to a new elementary school year?

International Cat Day on a Throwback Thursday? Here ya go.
UPDATE: Dale Nordling got the title of the song: Peppermint Twist. The group who recorded it was Joey Dee and the Starlighters. Name this classic song from 1961. Bonus points if you can name the group who recorded it WITHOUT GOOGLING.
There are two types of people in this world. People who spend, save and invest their money wisely...and people on Wheel of Fortune who waste money on vowels when they can already clearly solve the puzzle.
It's a trap!
Souvenir belt buckles were a thing in the 70s and 80s. Are they making a comeback? Or is my eBay customer a car enthusiast? See what else we have available on eBay, with more to come, here: https://www.ebay.com/usr/raymondduval
Been watching The Price is Right reruns from the 80s on GSN and was reminded that when it came to home furnishings? The 80s were all about brass and glass.
If you know what this is, you are my people.
I was today years old when I found out that Al Roker and Lenny Kravitz were 2nd cousins. Today's forecast is sunny with a chance of American Women.
A recent item purchased from our Etsy page is this milk glass plate based on the Roman mythological story of Cupid and Psyche. Story goes that the goddess Venus was so jealous of Psyche's beauty that she sent Cupid to trick her into falling in love with a man unworthy of her. Alas, Cupid himself wound up falling in love with Psyche. Check out what all we have available to purchase on our Etsy page here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ButchsAntiques
Past couple of days got me needing this.
Happy National Ice Cream Day!
SPOILERS AHEAD. In anticipation of the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine movie, a couple of days ago we watched Deadpool 2 because my lady hadn't seen it. In the scene where Deadpool dies and meets up with Vanessa in heaven, there's a beautiful, acoustic ballad cover of A-Ha's song Take On Me from the 80s. I found out it's not really a cover, but a performance A-Ha did on MTV Unplugged in 2017. I highly prefer it to the original.
a-ha - Take On Me (Live From MTV Unplugged) Taken from the forthcoming album/DVD a-Ha: MTV Unplugged Summer Solstice(17 Hits + 2 Cover Versions + 2 brand new Songs) Pre Order here: http://lnk.to/aha-...
From his stand up comedy, his self titled sitcoms, movies like First Family and Elf, to tv shows like ER and TBBT and everything in between. We lost a legend. R. I. P. Bob Newhart.
Only the latest tech in MY house.....seriously though, they come in handy when digitizing old media.
(Grabs shovel and heads to the backyard)
In a highly underrated and unfairly maligned movie, there was no one better suited to play Olive Oyl. Of course we can't forget The Shining and Fairy Tale Theatre. R. I. P. Shelley Duvall.

I never read the books as a kid. So I am today years old when I learned that Winnie the Pooh's actual name is Edward Bear.
On this day in 2010, National Collector Car day was first observed. My dream classic car? 1962 Ford Thunderbird. Nicknamed the "Bullet Bird" for the way the front end comes to a point.
Saw a Youtube video about shopping in Kmart in 1992. In the electronics department, they were still selling wooden console TVs.
Something that always tends to be collectible are McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Today I shipped out the sand pails in the first pic. The other pics are some examples of Happy Meal toys I've sold, had as a kid or remember.
Our Story
Hello, I’m Ray Duval of Butch’s Antiques and Collectibles. I’m a fourth generation antique dealer. In July of 2016, I found myself in a position to go into the old family business and rented a brick and mortar store in Point Richmond right next door to the historic Hotel Mac. For the past three years, it’s been a pleasure having a business in this community. My customers, regulars and first timers, have been a delight and in some cases made for some incredible stories. In July of 2019 the brick and mortar store will close, but don’t despair! The business lives on through the internet. You will continue to find us here on Facebook as well as Etsy and eBay. I’m sure we’ll have even more incredible stories to come of rare and interesting finds at antique fairs, flea markets and swap meets. Thank you for following along on our journeys and thank you as well for your support.
