From STEM to Law: a scientist in the legal sector
If you would like to watch the livestream, start from 18:00 - Law for Non-Law Society are delighted to welcome intellectual property partners, Katharine Stephens and Rob Williams of Bird&Bird LLP and, Adrian Speck QC, who recently acted as defence counsel for Associated Press Limited during the HRH The Duchess of Sussex v Associated Newspapers Limited proceedings.
All three lawyers come from a STEM background - Katharine studied MEng Engineering at Bristol University, Robert is an Exeter alumni having studied BSc Chemistry & BA Law, and Adrian read Physics and Theoretical Physics at Kings College Cambridge. We have asked them to talk about the transition from STEM to a career in Law and how being “scientists” in the legal sector has benefitted their career.
