The Blackout Pictures
High desert dwellers, The Blackout Pictures have been described as everything from post hardcore to metal to punk.
But really, The Blackout Pictures are best described as simply “Loud.” Call it what you will. The band is led by vocalist Lindsay Payton whose lyrics range from unfeigned poetry to folklore and whose style is somewhere between jagged and ethereal. Guitarists Jared Weiss and Brandon Smith create a sense of whiplash, a feeling of one’s arms being pulled in two directions. Jeff Jedlowski’s thunderous

Our third LP “FOR NOTHING” is available now everywhere digitally and on Bandcamp!
FOR NOTHING is a pseudo-concept album written loosely to “Texts for Nothing” by Samuel Beckett. This album explores one’s journey away from Industrialism and the human construct to the mountains in hopes of finding clarity of one’s purpose. Once travelled, one begins to understand that nature is the largest machine of all, leading them down a path of self-discovery, but also, loss, pain, and eventual insanity. A series of peaks and valleys that reach a roaring plateau; mirroring that manic sense of loss and mental gain that comes with the unknown.
Have a listen, enjoy & THANK YOU for sticking with us all this time 🖤
