When eliminating sources of aluminum here are words to look for in products.

· Alum – aluminum salt used in baking powder and used for making pickles
· Alumina and aluminum oxide – in drinking water filters releasing aluminum fluoride
· Aluminum chloride and chlorohydrate – used in deodorants and absorbed through skin
· Aluminum hydroxide – used as an antacid that releases aluminum when acidified
· Lake or Aluminum lake – used to color pharmaceuticals, lipstick, and candy
· Aluminum phosphate – used as an adjuvant in some vaccines releasing aluminum ions
· Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate – used in cosmetics and absorbed through skin
· Aluminum zirconium compounds – used in deodorants and absorbed through skin
· Modified food starch – aluminum starch octenylsuccinate used in food
· Sodium aluminum phosphate – SALP is used in baking powder and cheese spreads

Aluminum slowly accumulates in our body over time. Once aluminum is ingested and absorbed 64% will be excreted during the first day but the rest will be slowly excreted and even after 50 years 4% of what you ingested with breakfast this morning will remain in some parts of your body. My wife and I reduced our body burden of aluminum by 40% in the past 2 years by drinking silica rich mineral water. We are now below the Healthy Adult category. See table below.

We have been drinking silica water for 8 years and did our first test for aluminum 2 years ago. The test is a 24 hour urine test. I will post a link for ordering the test in the US. You have to have a lab near you and some states do not allow you to order tests yourself.

These results are incredible as they prove that drinking 4 cups of OSA rich water each day and avoiding dietary aluminum can lower “aluminum accumulation”. This AD biomarker, can be reduced and maintained at levels below that of an average 22-year-old by drinking Silicade daily for 6 years and can be further reduced 40% by drinking Silicade daily for 2 more years.

For people looking for information on genes and Alzheimer's here is information from my Prevent book. “There are two types of AD: familial and sporadic. Familial AD is believed to have a genetic link but accounts for only 1-2% of AD cases. Sporadic AD accounts for the remaining 98-99% of AD cases and only the apoE4 gene has been found to increase the risk for sporadic AD. Carriers of the apoE4 gene, about 20% of the population, have a 60% chance over age 80 of having AD versus a 10% overall risk of AD over age 80 in the general population. Therefore, the difference in risk for AD between carriers and non-carriers of this gene is 50%. “
