Atty. Eric Alajar was doing what he loved and did best — serving the marginalized and reaching out to legal aid lawyers on how best to do the same — when he suffered from a stroke, which left him in critical condition and in need of neurosurgery.
Throughout his career as a member of the legal profession — a PAO lawyer, and the IBP National Director for Legal Aid for 2 terms, he has always been a tireless advocate for the marginalized and underserved communities in our country. He has stood with them through their worst moments because of his unwavering commitment to serving them, exemplifying what a lawyer for the people should be. Now in his darkest hour, we are requesting assistance to help Atty. Alajar and his family cover the costs of his neurosurgery and medical expenses. Although we recognize that everyone is going through a challenging time right now, any assistance you may offer in helping Atty. Alajar receive the treatment he requires to heal would be much appreciated.

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, s*x, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
