Hi Haas Scholars!
We have an exciting initiative started by two of our Haas Scholars Alumni, Sara Ellis and Alissa Stover.
The mission of Pandemic Professors is to facilitate free online tutoring to children in low income communities impacted by the pandemic. We are recruiting tutors from all disciplines to help K-12 students who are falling behind due to the pandemic compounded by socioeconomic inequalities.
More about us: We are a thriving community of volunteers and are a growing organization with plenty of opportunities to transition into new roles according to your own interests. We are open to new, creative ways of providing educational supports to low-income students. We welcome opportunities to support tutors as well as students during this unprecedented time. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow as a professional and as a person, especially since we offer free training in teaching and soft skills (like empathy and other forms of emotional intelligence).
