xenthay yoga
Freelance yoga instructor with the goal of helping people to feel better in their bodies.
I've spent a lot of time reflecting right here in this spot these last couple months thinking of my next moves. I'm excited to say xenthayyoga.com is live! Movement & Healing starts Tuesday, September 10th. I'm thrilled to get back on my mat with you all. ๐๐๐ฝ๐
Hey y'all! I'm looking at getting some classes on the calendar! ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
My website is still under construction, but I wanted to share some class news.
Movement & Healing is going back online on Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning September 10th!
My yamas & niyamas class will also be online this fall so look for that, too. If you attended the in-person class in the spring, this is a great refresher to close out the year!
I miss practicing with you all and look forward to seeing you soon! ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐ฝ๐
Here's a little throwback to one of my favorite memories with my youngest. He asked if he could meditate with me ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ, at 4 years old y'all! It also makes me giggle that he's dressed like a child from the 70s. โฎ๏ธโค๏ธ
Let me also tell you about why I'm shifting my focus away from traditional group classes. After 11 years of teaching yoga, trying to help people feel better in their bodies, I started not feeling so good in my own. I could alleviate aches and pains, but something felt off. If you know my story, those little whispers that turned into screams is what got me into yoga in the first place.
In April, I completed a 6 day intensive
with Yoga Therapist Susi Hately, and not to sound cliche, but it changed my whole perspective on movement. My body changed in those 6 days too! I can finally get back to deep relaxation! I'm still working with Susi, and adding to my toolbox. But now, I'm also ready to share with others this phenomenal method. If my story resonates with you, consider joining me next Saturday for Movement Workshop: Discover Your Path to Healing. ๐๐๐ฝโค๏ธ
Hey yall!
This video by The Workout Witch is what is bringing me joy this afternoon ๐๐ฝ๐
I can also help you out with freeing up those hips for a$$ shaking, or what have you. ๐๐๐
Sign up for my Movement Workshop: Discover Your Path to Healing by tomorrow to receive early bird pricing!
Happy weekend!
New flyer for my upcoming movement workshop! Please share with anyone you think might be interested or benefit. ๐๐ฝโค๏ธ

This Thursday is the second to last session of Yoga night at WVO Events!
We are switching it up a bit and will be doing yin yoga. This will be a slow paced sequence with longer holds (3-5 minutes). This is not a restorative class, so this can be pretty challenging. The beauty is that the challenge is all up to the individual.
Drop ins are still welcome, $15 person. I have blocks, straps, and a couple extra mats.
Hope to see you Thursday night at 6pm! ๐โฅ๏ธ๐๐ฝ

Why yoga?
I canโt tell you exactly how long Iโve been doing yoga, but I do know the practice has allowed me to live a more content and balanced life. Initially I was looking for a fix to the aches and pains in my body, but gradually I began to see yoga as an integral part of my wellness.
This is the what I aim to teach. I want people to be more connected to their bodies and use that knowledge to process thoughts and emotions. Yoga can be used to help you navigate this crazy world and maintain some level of peace.
I hope to see you on your mat.
Namaste,
