On October 9th, we'll open our doors and invite all ladies in business to come and networking with some amazing people. It's always a fabulous day, with guest speakers - sparkling conversation and you never know who you might meet on the day.

Our March networking at The Best Western Cresta Court Hotel was such a great afternoon (as always!).

We had a fantastic Q&A Spotlight session with Ellen Kitson from Kitson Architecture and Paula Cohen from Paula at Taylory Business Coaching and then we said a big thank you to Rachael Brooks, MD of Swimtime Group who stepped down from our committee after many years of service (but remains a committed member of 2020!).

EASTER APPEAL 2024!

Between Saturday 23rd March and Sunday 7th April we'll have in the region of 2,060 children joining us on our Easter programme and we need your help to ensure that each child goes home with a sweet treat from the Easter Bunny.

This wonderful group of women were already supporting The Children’s Adventure Farm when I joined the charity as fundraiser in 2021. I have been so lucky to become a part of this networking group, which donates 50% of its subscription funds to CAFTcharity – as well as so much more!

What do I love about 2020? –

The sharing of ideas, collaborative support and positive vibrations that move through every meeting and beyond.

What have I gained from being part of 2020? –

Meaningful meetings, supportive relationships, new connections and wonderful idea sharing, all with regard to support for children across the northwest, who are living challenging lives.

If this is when I think about 2007 but it could be earlier, seems like a long time, if it’s why, because Kay Meredith and Hilary Jeffries told me it would be a good idea, they were right.

But first, here's a spotlight on one of our members, Ellen Kitson. Ellen is a valued member of our networking group, and here's what she had to say about it:

Why I joined 2020?
Ten years ago I had just set up my own Architectural Practice in Altrincham and I was looking to widen my network. The group instantly appealed to me as not only was it very welcoming but uniquely, as half the monthly fee goes directly to CAFT, you are helping to fundraise from the outset. After a couple of visits as a guest I was hooked and decided to sign up!

What do I love about 2020?
Every meeting is different! From the fun and games at Christmas, the chocolate at Easter and the annual visit to The Farm in the summer you never quite know what is going to happen next! Above all the October ‘Open Event’ is my favourite date in the 20/20 calendar. A delicious Afternoon Tea is served, the speakers are amazing and it’s a great opportunity to invite guests along, many of whom go on to join the group.

What have I gained from being part of 2020?
The group is very supportive, in all areas of life, not just business and there is always a buzz in the room at our monthly meetings. The network is great at generating leads and referrals but it goes much deeper than that. I’ve made friends for life and it’s opened doors to numerous opportunities and collaborations along the way. I’m so grateful to be part of this amazingly creative, kind, funny and hardworking group of women!
