🙏🏿 Let me just say that I am eternally grateful to the Negotiation Committee, staff and leadership who put in tireless effort to get us this far.

Unfortunately, there still more work ahead because, for first time in our union history, the 'historic gains' 📈 come with even greater 'historic losses' 📉.

1️⃣ Strike protections in the context of AI 🤖

The contract lacks provisions to prevent the AMPTP from using our image and likeness to continue productions 🎥 during a strike. This means our union loses one leverage in ALL future negotiations. 😳

How can we fight for more in the future if we given away our advantage?

2️⃣ Big changes with self-tapes 🎬

They're no longer considered auditions. You read that right. Self-tapes are now defined differently from Auditions.

⁉️

Starting in 2026, AMPTP will no longer pay 💰 for self-tapes, making in-person and virtual auditions likely obsolete.

Why pay actors for in-person/virtual auditions when they can self-tapes for FREE?

3️⃣ Did you get to read the full contract?

Well, neither did the national board. 🤯

They voted based on a summary, not the full deal.

Would you sign a loan for a home 🏠 or a car 🚗 without reading the contract? Then why vote 'Yes' 🗳️ on this contract without reading it?

👉🏿 I recommend voting NO ✖️ until you've read the full contract language.

With a 'no' vote, you keep your options open.

With a 'yes' vote, you're left with no options.

Why rush this deal? 🤔

It seems only the AMPTP is set to gain.

💥URGENT FOR ALL SAG-AFTRA ACTORS💥

Our union dues are owed by October 31, 2023 and if you want to remain active in the strike efforts and participate on union committees, run for elected positions and WORK on set once the strike is over, you have to pay your dues.

⭐️GOOD NEWS⭐️

SAG-AFTRA has extended the Dues Extension Relief program so instead of paying ONE lump sum, you can pay TWO installments (one in December and one in March '24).

There's no "application process" it's just a 'flip of a switch' on your union account.

1) Go to SAGAFTRA.org/billing-portal

2) Log into your account

3) Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the section below the button that says "PAY MY BILL".

4) Follow the instructions in the section.

5) THATS IT!!! Your dues are extended. 🙌🏿
