Swimming Timber Rattlers style!

This Friday (April 10th), from 10 am to 10 pm, the Iowa Timber Rattlers will be hosting a fundraising event at Toad Valley Golf Course (237 NE 80th St in Pleasant Hill). Cost is $5 for 18 holes of mini golf. Half the proceeds will go toward the ball team. After 5:00, there will be hole prizes available as well. Examples, after 5:00, the person with the first hole in one on #15 will receive a baseball autographed by Scott Rolen (future Hall of Famer, 97' Rookie of the year, 9 time Gold Glove winner, 8 time All Star). Other prizes include a Kevin Maas autographed baseball (first player in ML history to hit 10 HRs, #2 in voting for ROY in 1990 for Yankees), Benj Sampson autographed baseball (local pitcher from Ankeny that played for the Twins), Autographed rookie cards of Nate Teut (local pitcher from ISU that pitched for the Cubs and Marlins), Autographed ball from the Famous San Diego Chicken, Gift cards from Fareway, Baseball Bobble Head Dolls, and other fun prizes to be announced.

The Iowa Timber Rattlers finished the weekend 2-2 and 3rd place in the Spring Fever NIT

1 week from today the Rattlers take the field in Grinnell for a couple scrimmage games against the Nighthawks and Grinnell Tigers. Games are at 3:00 and 5:00.

Our very own Mark Mitchell was tragically shot this past Monday in a random shooting in Pleasant Hill. Funds have been created at Wells Fargo Bank as well as Community Choice Credit Union for anyone who would like to contribute to help the Mitchell's with medical expenses and any other expenses resulting from this horrible event. Please spread the word to help this family out as much as possible. Thank you!

What's better than NFL Football on Sunday afternoon and evening? How about adding your favorite pizza. Here's your chance to do both and help out a local baseball team.

This Sunday from 11am - 9pm, the Iowa Timber Rattlers 11U baseball team will be doing a fundraiser at Papa Murphy's in Altoona. The team will get 10% of total sales for the day and 100% of discount cards being sold for $5 (good for roughly $25 savings on future purchases). Papa Murphy's has created a special for us as well. "The Rattler Family Pack" For $15 you'll get a large pizza with the shape and look of a baseball (with your choice of meat) and your choice of either cookie dough or bread sticks.
