We have decided to end our market season two weeks early because we have a lot going on this year. Thank you for coming out early on your busy Saturday mornings to support us and our small farm. We hope you have a great Fall/Winter. We’ll see you in the Spring of 2023!

When we first started our intentions were to grow flowers for market, but we quickly grew into much more. Our garden beds turned into long rows of flowers and vegetables. Our old pecan orchard turned into a home for 3 beautiful heifers. We’ve definitely outgrown “Flowers” and earned “Farm”.

The weather is perfect this morning at the market!

When Forrest and I first started dating I told him he was my second favorite person. Grandma will always come first! I love this woman with every fiber of my being. She is the definition of good. Here she is at the market modeling the bread we sell. This bread is so special. It’s sourdough but it’s sweet like Grandma. If you haven’t tried it then meet us at the hartselle farmers market on Saturdays 💕

Saturday Market, Tomorrow April 23rd, 7am - 12. Our first of the season!! As usually we will begin small but we are so excited to get going especially on such a beautiful weekend! There will be salad greens, micro greens, and more from Honey Do Farm , local beef in a variety of cuts from Segars Farm, and Sunwise Flowers sourdough orange and cinnamon rolls, and loaves of bread! Can’t wait to see you there!!

Tulips are incredibly fun & playful. As they bloom they grow, open, bend, and curl. They are amazing to watch unfold.

We were nervous about the snow and well below freezing temps so Forrest tucked away all of our spring flowers. Thankfully our blooming tulip crop survived the crazy weather!

We have tons of Gladiolus this week. Is there anyone in the Morgan County area interested in a bundle? These long stems fit in a tall skinny vase and would make a bold statement in any room or office! Low prices and lots of colors! Message us to order!

FRESH FLOWERS FOR SALE at Reeve’s Farm on Highway 36 and Warehouse Coffee on Main Street. These are gladiolus and they are so big and glamorous. The hummingbirds love to buzz through the garden and go right into these large blooms. These will put a smile on any face 😍

For as long as I can remember my grandparents have read the Decatur Daily. They planted roots in Alabama over 50 years ago and I’m pretty sure they never missed a newspaper. I even had my first cup of coffee (mostly milk and sugar) with them while they read the paper and I looked at the funnies. The newspaper isn’t where most of us get our news these days but there is something so special about opening it up and clumsily flipping through its large pages. I’ve recently had the opportunity to write for the Hartselle Enquirer about the Hartselle Farmers Market and my grandparents saved every single article. This past Sunday we were featured in the Decatur Daily and it really meant the world to me. We all love the article and I know Grandpa would have been so proud. “Planting Roots” was the title of the article and we are so thrilled to grow roots in the wake of our ancestors and amongst our friends. So many good things to come. As always, thanks for your love & support 💛

Fresh STRAWBERRIES straight from Champion Farms in Falkville. Beautiful hanging flower baskets from Golden rule Greenhouses. Homemade sourdough bread from Sunwise Flowers. Landscaping and house plants from the Morgan County Master Gardeners Association. Gorgeous handmade pottery from Keramos Ceramics . Segars farm will be back with beef. Bell’s Dog Biscuits will have treats for your furry friends who are welcome at the market. Honey Do Farm will be there around 9am with fresh eggs and incredibly tender and great tasting heads of lettuce, boxes of mixed greens and micro greens.

Supporting your local farmer is EASY! All you have to do is share this post and help get the word out while the produce is fresh!

PS. They are out picking strawberries right now for the market so you know they will be heavenly sweet and fresh. See you in the morning at 7am!
