Breakfast sets the day right !! What is right breakfast?

Well begun is half done. Breakfast decides how energetic and vibrant your day is going to be. The key is to add adequate protein and fiber in the breakfast. Breakfast which is loaded with Carbohydrates only or mostly is a sure shot formula to welcome Fatigue. Here's WHY?

The level of energy is directly proportional to the amount of glucose supply to the cells and how effectively the glucose is being burnt or utilized.

Thousands of blood analyses have shown that a normal person who has not eaten for 12 hours has 80 to 120 milli-grams of sugar in about % cup (100 cc.) of blood. This figure, known as the fasting blood sugar, depends on the kind and amount of food eaten at the previous meal. The average is 90 to 95 milligrams. At this point energy is rather well pro-duced. As the supply of blood sugar is used, energy is pro-duced less readily, and lassitude sets in. When the sugar falls to about 70 milligrams, hunger is experienced, and lassitude gradually becomes fatigue. If the blood sugar drops to about 65 milligrams, a craving for sweets is often noticed and/or "growling" in the intestines. A continued drop in the sugar supply causes fatigue to become exhaustion. Headaches, weakness, and wobbliness often occur; palpitations of the heart may be noticeable; the legs may suddenly give away; nausea and even vomiting are often experienced.(Source: Let's eat right to keep fit by Adelle Davis)

Experiments have proved that when breakfast consisting of mainly carbohydrates is eaten, the glucose levels shoot up high and then drop back immediately within an hour or two. An individual may feel energized for 1-2 hrs but the energy levels drop soon. However, if 2 or 3 servings of protein is added, the glucose levels remain at 120 and satiety prevails for 5-6 hrs. Experiments have also proved that if a breakfast is high in carbs, then even if the lunch is fortified with adequate protein , the healthy glucose levels are not sustained to have continuous flow of energy.

So, it's very very very important to add 3 to 4 good servings of protein in the breakfast along with fiber and good fats.

Every meal has a potential to change health.

- When it comes to , the more we know the more we understand. The more we understand, the more we apply. By now, everyone knows Vitamin C is an Builder. Here's how it works.

1. Vitamin C destroys the nucleic acid of pathogens (virus, etc.) (Info Credit- Book: Prescription for Nutritional Healing)

2. One the functions of Vitamin C is to build strong cement like substance , known as , which holds together all the cells of the body. This works very much like cement on the brick wall except that in a healthy body it's like a stiff jelly or tough gelatin known as connective tissue. Strong connective tissue plays a role of far greater importance than has been heretofore appreciated. Cell walls are only a few molecules thick and almost and substance can pe*****te through them; whether it be virus , toxins, allergins, poisons, dangerous drugs or any other foreign material which often gain access to the body. Strong connective tissues are not easily pe*****ted, thus cells are protected. An under supply of Vitamin C allows the tissue to break down and which is further weakened by lack of Calcium.; protective doors are flung open and the pirates are invited in.
