I had originally purchased these eyes for a dragon project, but they're perfect for kitty cats too!

This minky fabric has to be the softest I've used. I'm going to have to find more in some different colors!

When each critter is sent out to their new forever home, they're given a handwritten note to their new best friend, and tissue paper to make the journey comfortable. And before the box is taped shut they're given a big hug to last them until they end up in their new friend's arms.
It's always bittersweet sending them off to new places, but I know they'll end up having a ton of fun adventures with their new family.
Meet Ollie the Otter!
Did you know otters use tools? They use rocks to help break open mussels to eat. And scientists found that they might have a dominant paw by analyzing the way the shells crack - they're predominantly right-pawed! They also hold each other's hands at night so they don't float away. It seemed fitting to have Ollie hold a shell in its paws, but they can hold anything metal with super strong magnetic grip.
Otters also have the densest fur on the planet - they are the only marine mammal without blubber to keep them warm and need the extra insulation. Minky fabric might not be that dense, but it's certainly soft!
I really enjoyed making this custom critter for my friend, and it posed new challenges to overcome. I think Ollie might have ended up as one of my favorite projects yet!

Up to our eyeballs in projects!
My sister's wedding is just two weeks away, and her wedding dress (and bouquets and centerpieces and and and...) isn't quite finished!
So we're going to be taking a brief hiatus from making NEW critters until the 2nd week of June to get caught back up. CURRENT orders should be sent out this week, and we're crossing our fingers that the other friends in the Menagerie can help us get everything ready for her special day!

We're temporarily removing Bellemy Bear from the Myth's Menagerie until we can source more of the tan minky fabric. We expect to see him again soon once we find the perfect replacement!

Pretty Kitty! 🐈⬛
This was a fun project! Got a request to make a cat that looked like particular furry friend for a future bundle of joy. This was quite a challenge, but I think it ended up pretty recognizable!

Another friend off to monkey around!
Sock monkeys were some of the first stuffed animals I learned how to make, so they'll always have a special place in the Menagerie.
