As summer wraps up, we get ready for fall. The cool, crisp air arrives. The morning fog makes everything misty and damp. The leaves start to change color. The perfect time for new branding photos!
I had a blast with earlier this year!
Rain. Leaves. Remembrance. Fall. So much for one day.
A day of remembrance - September 11th. For most, today is about remembering the nearly 3,000 people who died at the World Trade Centers. For most people, today is all about the tragedy of 9/11. But for me, today is about something else completely - very emotionally conflicting. Today is my dad's birthday. While he isn't here on earth to celebrate it, it's one of the few ways I stay connected with him and his memory. He died when I was 6, so I didn't get very many of his birthdays actually with him. Every year, it's a flood of emotions.
Today is also the first really fall like day here in the PNW. Rain, clouds, leaves starting to change color and fall. It's finally boot season! It's absolutely beautiful 🍂
My heart is heavy, but so happy and full today ❤️🧡💛
I love exploring new places to photograph clients!!! While this is in Seattle, it's a suitable alternative to a nursery that closed earlier this year. It has a cafe, tables and chairs, a beautiful fountain and pond with Koi, and beautiful green houses. I am so excited to keep finding new gems like this!
You know those moments where you have a chat with someone, and you are just filled with the Holy Spirit?
I had this experience yesterday. I got to meet with an amazing person who goes to my church and I left absolutely filled to the brim with joy.
We spent an hour talking about photography, business, and our goals in life. We connected in ways I never would have predicted and I am now bursting with excitement.
I was reminded that all good things come to those who wait. Success comes after time and consistency. And that I just need to have patience.
We discussed how my method of doing too much too fast has led to burnout (obviously) and that my goals need to be so so much smaller.
I've been trying to take leaps, and then I wonder why I am too tired to carry on. So it's back to baby steps. Small, tiny, consistent, baby steps.
We also talked about the WHY behind my passion of Sacramental photography, which just resulted in me reminding myself how much I absolutely LOVE it. It fills me, in a way I could never describe. It is such a blessing and an honor to witness and capture the beautiful sacramental moments my clients hire me for.
Here's to success, progress, and consistency! Have a beautiful Monday friends!

I am so excited to share (again) that I have placed as one of 11 runner ups in Verily Magazine’s “Adventure” photography contest. It was a honor to take part!
The other photographs are absolutely stunning as well and it's been so cool to read all the stories behind them.
This photo was taken as a way to process my journey, my adventure, in being a special needs mama. A mama of a tubie. All the extensions, syringes, bags….tubes - so many tubes.
Here are some comments from their guest judge, Ashlee, about my photograph, “Tubes” :
"Captivating and haunting. A beautiful, profound take on 'adventure' -- super powerful."

Introducing....me! Here is a little bit about me - do we have anything in common?
Have a very blessed Sunday!
Some of us strive to do our absolute best, always putting our best work out there. I'm here to show you that sometimes our best isn't very good, but it's better than it has been in the past.
As I was editing photos last night, I saw some posts on Facebook about the Northern Lights putting on a show in my area.
So of course I had to jump outside and try to capture something.
These are not good photos, in my opinion. BUT... this was only my second time EVER shooting the northern lights that were barely there, and one of only a handful of times I've tackled night photography.
I'm proud of myself. These represent the best of what I can do right now. And I am proud of that!
Enjoy and God Bless!

New blog post!! "To Begin: Part II"
This will be the most time consuming part to plan out, but one of the most important. You could just jump right in and figure this all out later, but that is risky. You need to have some sort of plan as you work towards growing your business. Your brand recognition is important, but above all, HOW are you going to grow? What is your plan to work towards your ultimate goal? What IS your ultimate goal? How are you going to achieve those goals...

It's so important to feed your soul as a business owner - to make sure your cup is full and your soul is healed. You can't serve others well without your own cup being full. Fill your cups!!
Until next year! ❤️
