ANDREWS TIP: Exam Tip

If asked how a factor (for example ‘education’) can impact on health, make sure you link all the way back to health. Some students will stop at another determinant of health and have therefore not answered the question. For example, if you were to say that ‘those who are educated are more likely to understand the benefits of being physically active and therefore exercise’, that is fine, but a specific link to an aspect of health has not yet been made. You should add ‘which in turn increases fitness levels and can assist in maintaining healthy body weight (physical health)’.
