🎶 A Night to Remember! 🎶
Last night, we had the honor of playing for Bruce and Sharon Russo's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration! 🥳✨
One of the highlights for us was getting "The Godfather" to come out of retirement and join us on alto sax. From his smooth stylings on "What A Wonderful World" to his hard-driving solo on "Old Time Rock & Roll," it was an unforgettable experience for the band! 🎷🎵
Congratulations to Bruce and Sharon on this incredible milestone. Here's to many more years of love and happiness! ❤️🥂
Last night we played at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center for the Diocese of Covington's Annual Seminary Ball. The Ball is a major event promoting vocations in the Diocese of Covington, and is a primary fundraiser for seminarian education.
Thank you to the Office of Stewardship and Mission for having us play again for the nth consecutive year. We lost track of how many times we've played this event, but it just gets better every year! So many people having a great time, socializing and dancing.
Congratulations on a successful fund raising event!
We had a great time last night playing the live music at the wedding reception of Drew and Chrissy in Park Hills, KY. The venue and food were great, but you can't go wrong with McHale's Events and Catering.
We learned a few new songs for the bride and groom special dances and even learned a couple of songs on the spot by request. That's always a little scary, playing songs that have never been rehearsed. It reminded us of the old "Stump the Band" segment on the Tonight Show years ago.
Thank you to everyone who came out to hear us play at Humble Monk Brewing Co.. in Northside on Saturday night. We had a great time... good friends, family, fans, and great beers!
Thank you, Juli, for the photos.
Also, The Mix extends its gratitude to Alicia and Mike Kemp of Humble Monk Brewing Co. for inviting us to play. Humble Monk's "Blasphemy Lite" on tap #3 was a favorite of several members of The Mix.
We had a great time playing at Lake Santee yesterday. We (mostly) dodged the rain and stayed somewhat dry. Also, what a great crowd!
It's always fun playing at the lake. Thanks to all who came out to listen, and thank you to the Russo family for inviting us.
