Don't let none of these social media outlets fool you.. There are people with only 3-9 likes who have plenty of friends.. People with 100+ likes who are lonely as hell.. Couple's who look so happy together, yet are miserable as heII beyond close doors.. People who don't post pictures of themselves & their significant other, but are in a beautiful loving relationship.. People who know each other very well but appear as strangers.. People who are up to their neck in debt yet live a lavish social media life.. Remember, most of this is not real life. Appearances are just that, appearances...

*The Law of Relaxation*
In all mental working effort defeats itself. The more effort you make the less will your result be. This of course is just the opposite of what we find on the physical plane, but it will not surprise us because we know that in many cases the laws of mind are the reverse of the laws of matter.

Sometimes life will require you to schedule a date with your tears. Preferred time: In the car on the way to a meeting. Duration: 3.5 Minutes. Option: Premium. π π₯΄
I spent most of my life trying to catch up with the world, not knowing where to go, wondering if there really is a star out there shining just for me. It was the most tiring thing to do and eventually, I stopped trying. I stopped walking, and instead looked around. Little by little, I realized that I'm not missing out in lifeβat least not on the things that matter. That I had just been so busy looking way past them. Yes, my life would be more colorful if some of my dreams came true, but the sky I see when I ride the train after the morning rush is just as blue as everybody else's. The sunsets are just as beautiful, and while I may not have a lot of people caring for me, when I'm with those who do, my heart swells up, too, like the biggest star in the galaxy.
It really is amazing, the things you see when you slow down. The blur, the jagged pieces of the puzzle, every tic of the clock and every bridge burnedβthey all suddenly make sense. You realize how life is not about the numbers, how it's not about a bunch of stranger's idea of success that makes it worth living. Instead, it's the happy moments we're here to experience, those little ones that make us feel like somehow, we shine, too.

Notes to Self for When Life Gets Hard π» take what you need, and remember that you are loved and worthy.
As we say goodbye to the month of June, what was one thing you were most thankful for? π»ππ½
The little girl in me is surely living her best life ππ₯°
June must got somewhere to be!
The older I get, the more weary I am of just how cruel and hurtful people can be. I have struggled to understand it. But to me this serves as the most striking contrast, then, for just how wonderful it is to experience genuine, kind, loving people.
As Khalil Gibran said, "The deeper the sorrow that carves into your being, the more joy you can contain."
Sorrow may carve a hole in your heart. When it is time to choose how you fill it, please don't reach for hate. For bitterness. Or unforgivness. Please let love fill the empty spaces. Allow a newfound and most healing love to refresh you.

π 5 Ways you can be a Kinder Driver π
1. Always aim to stop for people to cross at zebra crossings, it's just a few seconds of your time. And it is the pedestrians right of way. π¦
2. If you see a motor bike/boda boda on the highway with you, remember that they have as much right on the road as you. Don't try to push them off the road or hoot at them. Be considerate too, of their safety. π
3. If someone lets you cut in ALWAYS hoot or wave to say thankyou. That's a must. β οΈ
4. FYI - a short sharp BEEP! of the horn is considered polite, while a long-pressed blaring BEEEEP hoot is rude. π
5. When it comes to parking, avoid being that guy that takes up two parking spots. And if parking space is limited, try and leave as soon as your done to free up the space for someone else. π
6. Finally, always choose kindness first as a default. Often a smile and gentle word will do the trick better than yelling and hooting your horn.βββ
The bombastic side eye is becoming a most regular occurence in these ridiculous times.

Depression and anxiety can be like a useless anchor you simply can't shake off.
Driving you to urgency, while equally making you helplessly lethargic.
It will creep up in the middle of the highlights of your life, and ask you:
"Are you really worthy though? Are you really loved though? No! You're not."
It is a daily wrestle in the mud - tooth, nail and sweat. For sometimes small winnings.
And it can also lie to you that it is a lonely road, when it in fact is not. You are not alone. More people struggle than you think. More people care than you think. You're a fighter for every day you get up and keep going regardless of the anchor of any mental struggle that is weighing you down. β€

If you don't stand for anything, what will you fall for?
Which sentence do you need to hear today?
You matter, you're needed.
You're doing so great.
I see you, I get you.
I am proud of you.
I'll never leave you.
I admire you.
I love you.
You belong here.
I'd like you to say this sentence out loud.
Then picture a younger version of you, you as a child, and say this to yourself over and over. As many times as you need to, for as long as it takes, until that child within you starts to believe it.
It's beautiful when the people around you can tell you this, but if - for now - no one has told you, remind yourself in the mirror regularly that you are worthy.

Know yourself.
Then you can...
Trust yourself.
Love yourself.
Believe in yourself.
May no unkind works shake you. May no rejection break you. May you never give your power away. You are worthy, you are good enough and you've got this! Revolution starts on the inside, with you going back to the roots and knowing yourself.
The highest form of love is consideration. When someone thinks about how things would make you feel. Pays attention to detail. Holds you in regard when making decisions that could affect you. In any bond, how much they care about you can be found in how much they consider you.
When you take this information and translate it into your life, you begin to see where love always was even if the words were never said. Friends that make sure to speak for you in rooms where you're absent. Loved ones that save you the last piece. Feel the pain you feel. Go out of their way for you. π
Team work makes the dream work π
The other day, I kept finding that I was not in the present. And as I struggled with that, these words came to me...
"Where I am, is where I'm meant to be. And what I'm doing, is what I'm meant to. And who I am, is who I'm meant to be."
Knowing that there is purpose in the present, helps me stay in it. There is purpose in who I am right now, even if it isn't my best self. There is purpose in where I am, even if it isn't where I want to be. I have to believe that every part contributes to something.

"There is nothing new under the sun..."
Isn't it a comforting feeling to know that there is someone who has gone through, or is going through what you're going through right now. There is a person, or people, that are going through the very same motions as you. And maybe this knowledge will help you feel a little more brave, and a little less alone. ππ½β€
