No Comply Fingerboards

I just got a phat dose of the old days plopped right in my lap. Anyone who was around in 2009 might remember my cousin Takacs. Who found a unique knack for shaping TD trucks into something better. He came to Steeze Fest with his young sons who enjoy fingerboarding and it kick started something in him.

He recently bought a complete from an old favorite brand of his and he got some shoddy wheels. So he brought the wheels by to me to put my magic touch on and make the useable.

Of course I succeeded in doing what should have been done in the first place and got him rolling again. When he came by to bring the wheels and hang out a bit he dropped a zip baggy down on my desk and said look at these.

Nonetheless he found these partially shaped trucks from when he was shaping them and I was selling them on the old NoCo website. Takacs Trucks we called them. They were a hot commodity for a while and he couldn't barely keep up with the demand. I put inverted kingpins on them and bushings and they were a huge improvement.

Just to have these in my possession for a short time invokes all the nostalgia that makes me remember why I love being involved. A simpler time and that era was solid gold.

If we are lucky Takacs will stay interested. He went on to be a machinist for a couple large operations for about 12 years. He found love recently becoming a barber.

Maybe I can talk him out of fingerboard reticent fully and see if we can whip something special up together. Never say never right?

Setting myself up a fresh set up. Combinatation of traded and received items during Steeze Fest. I traded some NoCo wheels for the killer Redwolf deck(always loved this graphic and the shape is 🤌), I traded some NoCo wheels to a local for the Leefai Trucks they had won and I finally got my grubby paws on some Vice Grips and it's some mean ass grip!

For reasons, the light blue route thru WI/Northern IL is not an option I don't think.

is heading down and needs someone to ride and drive about half of the way. So you'd need to not be much more than half way from St Paul to Princeton area.

These 50 year old hands still can hang. 😊🙌 I've had many requests for these.

Over the last few months I've made a handful of sets for people upon request. I finally got some updated tooling to allow me to make them more consistently and efficiently.

These will be standard on Conspiracy Fingerscooter models and will be available on the website very soon.

These are made to work optimally with bearing wheels. With that, you may need a tiny HF needle file to ream your plastic fork axle holes a tiny bit. This is the drawback of retrofitting pro level shizz, with mass produced plastic low cost parts. 😎

The example in my picture I used a small jewelrs needle file on the plastic fork axle holes and twisted the file a couple times and it was just enough.

You'll experience less wheel wobble as well with these while using bearing wheels, since the diameter is made specifically to fit inside of bearings. The China axles are smaller diameter. Don't fear, donor China wheels will still work into Conspiracy axles as well.

Finally the Conspiracy decks are ready. After countless revisions, I'm going with two versions. Box ended(as originally planned) and snub ends which will have pegs to the edges that when done will look like a box end, but will have pegs. In addition to aluminum pegs, I'll offer composite pegs in various colors as well to change the look at my fellow Conspirators choice.

I'll start building scoots next week and see what we can make happen.

The inspiration and my vision. Some people say there is no skill to do this. I think Gonz and Rocco might disagree as do I. To think of something to fit your product, and then rework it all to mimic definitely takes some skill.

I reference Gonz and Rocco because in my skate days, they pushed boundaries. I looked up to those guys. The poweel ad wars...all of it struck a chord with me as a young kat.

It's a huge part of my history and started No Comply with that inspiration strong with my mindset.

And every one of these I do, I put an Easter egg on. This one, I paid homage to one of my favs from those same skating days, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and those lips came straight from there.

Look...everyone is different. This is my craft. This is what I truly feel at home doing. I am honored to create these things just for all of you and I appreciate all of you for seeing my creations as something unique.
