Unpopular opinion: Benzyl Peroxide is not that scary

Unpopular opinion my skin does not take well to most oil cleansers. It causes weird texture on my forehead overtime and fungal acne. As someone who pushes for double cleansing this for me does not always means using an oil cleanser first. I opt for a cleansing gel or cream (mostly gel) then go in twice with that or opt for a treatment cleanser. My top two at the moment are Cerave Benzyl peroxide and Skinbetter oxygen infusion wash (discontinued 😔). My currently go to first cleanse is the Skinbetter cleansing gel.

My first routine of the year. This is my morning routine now that I have been in Nigeria. I have naturally congested skin so keeping it light and hydrated is the game. So I keep away from moisturizers in the morning. The mix of serums really keeps my skin hydrated all day.

I have been going back and forth with various brands and products. My main thing this year is looking for products I can use no matter the situation. I have been using this combo every morning so far I’ve been enjoying it. I had a major purge last month with my careless use of acids. With this comes the time to rebuild my barrier and up on my antioxidant use. I’ve also been reaching for lighter serums rather creamier serums which seem to be the platform for most products which help with discoloration. If you have been on my page you will already see CE Ferulic acid so I won’t create details about it. Just know if always has a place in my stash of products. With the Discoloration Defense it’s a bit newer in my routine see slide 2. I love the texture of this product. It will take some time to see all the results but I will keep using it and get back with a final review. Slide 3 is how my skin looks now
