Church of Christ Pakistan
On February 21, 1960, there was a meeting, which became the foundation of The Church of Christ Lahore, and Church of Christ School of Theology. D. Reverend I. N.
We are Church of Christ (Christian Church) and a congregation of faithful people in which the true word of God is preached, and the sacraments duly administered according to his Holy Word - Proclaiming Jesus Christ in Word & Sacrament - Worldwide+++ So February 21, 1960 is the Foundation Day of The Church of Christ Lahore, and Church of Bible School although no minutes were taken. This meeting was
O Mother of men and peoples,
you know all their sufferings and their hopes,
you feel in a motherly way
all the struggles between good and evil,
between the light and the darkness
which shakes the world.
Accept our cry addressed in the Holy Spirit
directly to your heart
and embrace with the love of the Mother
and the Handmaid of the Lord
the peoples who await this embrace the most,
and likewise the peoples whose consecration
you too are particularly awaiting.
Take under your motherly protection
the whole human family
which we can consecrate to you,
O mother, with affectionate rapture.
May the time of peace and freedom,
the time of truth,
justice and hope,
approach for everyone.
O you, who are the first handmaid
of the unity of the Body of Christ,
help us, help all the faithful,
who feel so painful
the drama of divisions of Christianity
to seek with constancy
the way to the perfect unity
of the Body of Christ
by means of unconditional faithfulness
to the Spirit of Truth and Love,
which was given to them by your Son
at the cost of the cross and death.
O you, who are so deeply and maternally bound to the Church,
preceding the whole People of God
along the ways of faith, hope and charity,
embrace all men who are on the way,
pilgrims through temporal life
towards eternal destinies,
with that love which the divine Redeemer himself,
your Son, poured into your heart from the cross.
Be the Mother of all our earthly lives,
even when they become tortuous,
in order that we may all find ourselves,
in the end in that large community
which your Son called the fold,
offering his life for it as the Good Shepherd.
O you, who were with the Church
at the beginning of her mission,
intercede for her in order that going all over the world
she may continually teach all the nations
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
O you, who have known in the fullest way
the power of the Holy Spirit,
when it was granted to you
to conceive in your virginal womb
and to give birth to the Eternal Word,
obtain for the Church
that she may continue to give new birth
through water and the Holy Spirit
to the sons and daughters of the whole human family,
without any distinction of language,
race, or culture,
giving them in this way
the "power to be come with children of God." [Jn. 1:12].
O you, who have always wished to serve!
You who serve as Mother
the whole family of the children of God,
obtain for the Church
that enriched by the Holy Spirit
with the fullness of hierarchical and charismatic gifts,
she may continue with constancy
towards the future
along the way of that renewal
which comes from what the Holy Spirit says
and which found expression in the teaching of Vatican II,
assuming in this work of renewal
everything that is true and good,
without letting herself be deceived
either in on direction or in the other,
but discerning assiduously
among the signs of the times
what is useful for the coming of the Kingdom of God.
O you, who through the mystery of your particular holiness,
free of all stain from the moment of your conception,
feel in a particularly deep way
that "the whole creation has been groaning in travail" [Rom. 8:22],
while, "subjected to futility,"
"it hopes that it will be set free
from its bo***ge to decay" [Rom. 8:20-21],
you contribute unceasingly
to the "revealing of the sons of God,"
for whom "the creation awaits with eager longing" [Rom. 8:19],
to enter the freedom of their joy [cf. Rom. 8:21].
O Mother of Jesus,
now glorified in heaven in body and in soul,
as the image and beginning of the Church,
which is to have its fulfillment in the future age,
here on earth,
until the day of the Lord comes [cf. 2 Pt. 3:10],
do not cease to shine before the pilgrim people of God
as a sign of sure hope and consolation (cf. Lumen Gentium, 68).
O you, who more than any other human being
have been consecrated to the Holy Spirit,
help your Son's Church
to persevere in the same consecration.
Holy Spirit of God,
You who is worshipped
and glorified with the Father and Son!
Accept these words of humble consecration
addressed to You
in the heart of Mary of Nazareth,
Your bride and mother of the Redeemer,
whom the Church too calls her Mother,
because right from the Upper Room at Pentecost
she has learned from Her,
her own motherly vocation!
Accept these words of the pilgrim Church,
uttered amid toils and joys,
fears and hopes.

LIFE AFTER DEATH - WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST 40 DAYS AFTER DEATH
Our sorrow for deceased loved ones would be limitless and without consolation had the Lord not bestowed upon us eternal life. Our life would be meaningless if it ended with death. What use would there be then from virtues and good deeds? Then those who say, "Let's eat and drink, because tomorrow we will die" would be right.
But man was created for immortality and through his resurrection Christ has opened the doors of the Kingdom of Heaven for eternal bliss for those who believed in him and lived righteously. Our earthly life is a preparation for the future life, and this preparation ends with our death - "And as men are destined to die once, and then the judgment." (Heb. 9:27) . Then man leaves all his earthly cares; the body decomposes to rise again at the Universal Resurrection. Often this spiritual vision begins in the hours before death, and while they are still seeing the people around them and even talking to them, the dying see what others do not see.
But when it leaves the body, the soul finds itself among other spirits, good and bad. Usually she approaches those who are more like her in spirit, and if she was under the influence of one of them while in the body, she will remain dependent on them and when she leaves the body. However, it will be very unpleasant if it turns out that evil spirits have power over the soul.
For two days, the soul enjoys relative freedom and can visit places on earth that pleases it, but on the third day, it moves to another realm. On the third day, by the command of God, the soul ascends to Heaven and worships God. At that time (the third day) she was passing through legions of evil spirits blocking her path and accusing her of various sins they themselves were tempting her into.
Then after successfully passing the mitaries and worshiped God, the soul for 37 days visits the heavenly dwellings and the places of hell, not yet knowing where it will stay, and it is only on the 40th day that a place is determined until the Universal Resurrection of the dead. Some souls are (after the 40th day) in a state of foretaste of eternal joy and bliss, while others are in fear of the eternal misery that will come in fullness after the Judgment. Until then, a change in the state of the souls is possible, especially through the offering of the Blood Sacrifice (mention of the Holy Liturgy), as well as through pencils and charity.
How important the mentioning of the Holy Liturgy can be seen in the following event: before opening the relic with the holy relics of St. Theodosiy Chernigovsky, the hieromonk (the famous elder Alexis of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, +1916. ) The one who was in charge of the holy relics, got blown away while sitting next to them, fell asleep and saw the saint in front of him, who said to him: "Thank you for taking care of me." I also ask you, when you serve the Holy Liturgy, to mention my parents as well" - and gave him their names (priest Nikita and Presbyter Mary). “How can you, O God’s Pleaser, ask for my prayers when you yourself stand before the Throne of God asking God to send His mercy upon the people?” "- asked the holy monk. “Yes. This is true, but the mention of the Holy Liturgy is more powerful than my prayers”. -answered the saint. Theodosius.
Therefore, memorial services and home prayers for the deceased are very useful for them, as well as good deeds done in their memory such as alms and donations to the Church. But especially useful for them is the mention of the Holy Liturgy. There are many revelations (appearances) of the deceased that confirm how beneficial it is to commemorate the deceased. Many people who died in repentance, but failed to produce enough fruits of repentance, have been freed from afflictions and received freedom. In the Church, prayers are always offered for the deceased, and on the day of the Holy Spirit's descent (Pentecost) special kneeling prayers are offered in the evening, there is even a special request for those who are in hell.
Each one of us who wishes to show his love to the deceased and give them genuine help, the best one can do is pray for them, and especially write down their names for the Holy Liturgy when the particles that are extracted for the living and for the deceased descended into the Honorable Blood of the Lord when the priest utters the following words: "Wash, Lord, the sins of those mentioned here, through Your Precious Blood and by the prayers of Your saints." “
We cannot do anything better or greater for the deceased than to pray for them and record them for the Holy Liturgy. They are especially in great need of this, and especially during the first 40 days after death, when their souls set on the road to Eternal Homes. The body feels nothing then: it does not see its loved ones gathered around it, does not smell the flowers, does not hear the funeral songs, but the soul feels the prayers made for it and is grateful to those who pray and is spiritually close to them.
Oh, relatives and relatives of the deceased! Do for them what is necessary and within your power. Use your money not to decorate the coffin and grave outside, but to help those in need on behalf of your deceased loved ones, to allocate for the Church where prayers are offered for them. Show mercy to the deceased, take care of their souls.
We all have the same road, and how would we then want to be prayed for! Let us, therefore, also be merciful to the deceased.
As soon as someone dies, immediately call or notify a priest to read prayers meant for the deceased (prayers to be read for all Orthodox Christians).
Try, if possible, to provide an opelo in the Church and read the Psalms over the head of the deceased until his funeral.
Most of all, try to organize the 40 days commemoration of the deceased, daily commemoration of Holy Liturgy. If the ash is in a temple where Holy Liturgy is not served daily, the relatives should take care to provide a 40-day commemoration where it is served daily. It is also good to allocate a contribution for remembrance to both monasteries and holy places.
Let’s take care of those who have gone to the other world before us, doing all we can for them, remembering Christ’s words: “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy” (Matt. 5:17) 5:7).

Transmission of the honorable rice of our Lord Jesus Christ
Transfer of the honorable rice of our Lord Jesus ChristAt the time of the suffering of the Lord Jesus for the human race he was in the unit of the Roman army in Jerusalem and one Georgian, Elioz from the city of Mcheta. Mother, his senses were for Christ and in their hearts they believed in Him. Sending her son to the army in Palestine, she advised him not to do anything against Christ. When the Lord was nailed to the cross, the sound of the hammer on Golgotha came to the ears of Elioz's mother in the town of Mchet. Hearing that sound, she shouted: "Woe to me, that I hadn't died before this time, death would save me from this terrible sound!" " And I said that - she falls dead. Elioz was then under the Cross and with other soldiers throwing the dice around the shirt of Christ. He liked the shirt, and he brought it to Mchet, and gave it to his sister Sidonia. This one hearing of the Lord's death and that her brother was a participant in the innocent bloodshed, falls dead with the Lord's urgency, holding this one firmly in his hands, so that no one could pluck him out, but are forced to bury her together with the urgency. A cedar grows from her grave, from which flowed whole peace. Over time the cedar falls and the place is forgotten. St. Nina found that place with a pillar of fire above that place, after her prayer. And the baptized Emperor Mirian builds that church to the Holy Apostles. Shah Abbas take that rice in 1625. years and sent to Moscow as a gift to prince Mihailo Feodorovic and patriarch Filaret. The shirt will be placed in the Assumption Council in Moscow.

Hymn to our Lady Theotokos.
Let us remember the supreme sacrifice of Jesus. The death of Jesus on the cross was not just an act of pain but an act of infinite love. God gave us His own Son, who paid the highest price for our salvation.
Through His suffering and death, Jesus showed us the path to redemption and eternal life. His love for us is so great that He was willing to face agony and crucifixion so that we could have life in abundance.
Let us never forget the immense love that God has for each one of us. Jesus died to give us health, love, and salvation. Take a moment today to meditate on this great sacrifice and how His love continues to touch our lives every day. 🙏❤️
She stayed when the others fled.
At the the Lord’s Crucifixion, Mary Magdalene (July 22) stayed at the cross with the Mother of God and the Apostle John. She was a witness to Christ's burial and first to see the risen Lord (Mark 16:1-10)
"Holy Myrrhbearer and Apostle to the Apostles, now that you have passed into heaven, never cease to intercede for the world!"
Attracted to Orthodoxy because of beautiful churches and liturgies? The gold in the church is already refined. But is your heart open to daily refining?

It's always is highly recommended to offer sincere, wholehearted prayers before going to sleep, so that if we do not wake up by God's permission-at least than we will have some God -pleasing, and for our soul extremely beneficial deed, that might give us some chance and save us from eternal torment, justify our unconfessed and unrepentant souls in His dreaded court ,hoping scales of His judgment will point in our favor ...
Christ ☦ is Risen ☦️ ...
Today’s Meditation:
"Strong passions are the precious raw material of sanctity. Individuals who have carried their sinning to extremes should not despair or say, 'I am too great a sinner to change,' or 'God would not want me.' God will take anyone who is willing to love, not with an occasional gesture, but with a 'passionless passion,' a 'wild tranquility'. A sinner, unrepentant, cannot love God, any more than someone on dry land can swim; but as soon as a person takes his errant energies to God and asks for their redirection, he will become happy, as he was never happy before. It is not the wrong things one has already done that keep one from God; it is present persistence in that wrong. Someone who turns back to God, as the Magdalene and Paul, welcomes the discipline that will enable him to change his former tendencies. Mortification is good, but only when it is done out of love of God. ... Mortifications of the right sort perfect our human nature; the gardener cuts the green shoots from the root of the bush, not to kill the rose, but to make it bloom more beautifully."
"Rather than resenting those who wrong us, we are to love them, and we express this love by blessing them and praying for them. We do this because we are commanded to do so by Christ. He has commanded this for our own sake, for our own salvation, because He loves us; and we do it for His sake, because we love Him."
MY DAILY REFLECTIONS
Memorial of St. Mary Magdalene
Mary Magdalene was a woman who was healed by Jesus, and she never took this for granted. She followed him and listened carefully to his teachings. She couldn’t go back to her old way of life—not after she had been set free.
Jesus' encounter with her changed her life forever, telling us that there's hope for everyone irrespective of the kind of life you are living. Let us make a it a point of duty to encounter Jesus for our total transformation.
Mary's life reveal to us that Jesus makes himself available to whoever that seeks and searches for him.
Mary's gratitude to Jesus for healing, saving and granting her freedom was one of her drive to follow Jesus all through his crucifixion to his resurrection. A sinner today can be a Saint tomorrow do not condemn anybody.
Let us learn to be grateful and appreciate God & others for the good or kindness shown to us.
St. Mary Magdalene pray for us.

REFLECTION
How did Moses, with a blow from his rod, bring forth water from the rock? How did God send down manna from heaven and feed the people of Israel in the wilderness? Thus ask those who have a very weak conception of the might of the Omnipotent God--and still they are perplexed as to why such miracles do not take place again, in order that all peoples might believe in God. But the Israelites witnessed countless miracles of God with their own eyes, and still they did not believe. Meanwhile, God repeats the wondrous miracles of old, wherever and whenever it is needed. Once, when there was a famine in the Lavra of Athanasius, all of the brethren dispersed in all directions. Dejected, Athanasius set off to seek out another place. A woman on the road asked him: "Where are you going?" And because she was a woman on the Holy Mountyain--where no women are granted access--he asked in wonder: "Who are you?" She answered: "I am she to whom you have dedicated your community. I am the Mother of your Lord." Athanasius said: "I am afraid to trust you, for even demons can manifest themselves as angels of light. How will you prove to me the truthfulness of your words?" Then the Holy Birth-giver of God said to him: "Strike your rod upon this rock, and you will know who it is that speaks to you. Know that I will always remain the Abbess--Ikonomisa--of your Lavra." Athanasius then struck the rock with his rod. At that, the rock shook and cracked as if from thunder, and water gushed forth from the shattered rock. Frightened, Athanasius turned to prostrate himself before the Holy All-pure One, but she had already vanished. He returned to his Lavra and, to his even greater amazement, found all the barns (storehouses) overflowing with wheat. Here, then, is a recapitulation of great wonders, which confirm the miracles of old, and by which the faithful are strengthened in the Faith.
CONTEMPLATION
To contemplate the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites (Exodus 14):
1. How Moses waved the rod according to the command of God, and the sea was divided, and the people of God passed over on the dry bottom of the sea;
2. How the Egyptians pursued the Israelites along the same path, but Moses waved the rod, and the sea closed over them;
3. How this teaches me that God can do whatever He wills and that He saves His faithful servants from the greatest dangers, but punishes the unfaithful.
HOMILY
About sobriety of mind
"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:13).
Brethren, the mind is the guide of the soul and adviser to the soul. God gave the animalsonly a soul [an irrational soul], and that is why He did not give them freedom, but guides them with His mind. God gave man a soul [a rational soul] and a mind--and with the mind, freedom. The mind and freedom are inseparable. Thus all the tales of certain philosophers--concerning how man truly has a mind but does not possess freedom--are vain. It is clear from daily experience that freedom is an inseparable companion of the mind. Yet, as man does not possess a perfect mind, so he does not possess perfect freedom, but stands under the direction and guidance of God. God alone has a perfect mind and perfect freedom. We, therefore, are only the "image and likeness" of the mind and the freedom of God. We possess a mind sufficient to know the will of God and enough freedom to be able to decide to fulfill the will of God. When the mind loses its absolute guiding power over the soul, then there arise in the soul many disparate guiding principles--which bring about confusion, chaos and destruction.
What is the meaning of the apostle's words: Gird up the loins of your mind and be sober? They mean: "Do not allow your mind to fantasize, but concentrate the mind on contemplating the Law of God." They also mean: "Do not allow your mind to abuse your God-given freedom, by plunging the soul into slavery to the flesh, the world and the devil; but nail the mind to Christ as to a cross, so that your soul may resurrect in Christ." Further, they mean: "Close your mind off from all self-willed imaginations, by which it becomes intoxicated and falls prey to the devil; and keep the mind girded in the narrowness of your heart, where it will become sober through prayer, and pure through tears." It means, in essence: "Train your mind not to misuse your freedom by reviling the Living and Merciful God and by deadening you soul through the passions."
O Lord Jesus, Mind of God and Wisdom of God, help us to gird our minds, that we may think only of what is from You and what is Yours--that our minds may lead our souls soberly to salvation.
To Thee be glory and praise forever. Amen.
"The image of God was truly preserved in you, O Mother," Macrina. Saint Macrina (July 19) was the sister of the holy hierarchs Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa. Like her brothers, she was well educated, especially in the Scriptures.
Macrina convinced her mother, St Emilia, once her children had grown up, to leave the world, to set their slaves free, and take up a monastic life. Some of their servants chose to join them in a life of communal prayer and work, possessing everything in common.
St Macrina was granted the gift of wonderworking. There was an instance when she healed a girl of an eye-affliction. Through her prayers there was no shortage of wheat at her monastery in times of famine."

☦️🕯️ANGELS WERE CREATED BY GOD FROM NOTHING AND ARE THE PRODUCT OF THE FREE DIVINE WILL 🕯️☦️
According to Scriptural teaching, the task of the angels is twofold. The first is to glorify God and the second is to assist us humans . The second of the two is described by Saint Basil the Great as circumstantial, since it was assigned to the angels after our creation. It is the belief of the Church, based on Biblical and Patristic testimony that we each have a guardian angel and there is also some suggestion of an angel for nations and peoples, as well as angels being assigned to the protection of local churches. It is the conviction of the body of the Church that the angels accompany the souls of the righteous at the time of their departure from the body.
When you look ahead in life, you will see uncertainty and confusion, but when you look back at the road that you have travelled, you will be able to see that I have been beside you, carrying you every step of the way. I have protected you and shielded you through every obstacle that has come your way. As you continue to place your trust in Me, I will make your paths straight before you. Don't be afraid, you are never alone.
(Isaiah 41:10 ~ Hebrews 13:5 ~ Joshua 1:9 ~ Matthew 28:20)
A man went into the forest to choose a tree from which to make roof-beams. And he saw two trees, one beside the other. One was smooth and tall, but had rotted away inside, and the other was rough on the outside and ugly, but its core was healthy. The man sighed, and said to himself: “What use is this tree to me if it is rotten inside and useless for beams? The other it is rough and ugly, is at least healthy on the inside and so, if I put a bit more effort into it, I can use it for roof-beams for my house.” And, without thinking any more about it, he chose that tree.
So will God choose between two men for His house, and will choose not the one who appears outwardly righteous, but the one whose heart is filled with God’s healthy righteousness

Auxilium Christianorum - Prayers on Friday
Prayers to be offered every day:
Our help is in the name of the Lord.
Who made heaven and earth.
Most gracious Virgin Mary, thou who wouldst crush the head of the serpent, protect us from the vengeance of the evil one. We offer our prayers, supplications, sufferings and good works to thee so that thou may purify them, sanctify them and present them to thy Son as a perfect offering. May this offering be given so that the demons that influence or seek to influence the members of the Auxilium Christianorum do not know the source of their expulsion and blindness. Blind them so that they know not our good works. Blind them so that they know not on whom to take vengeance. Blind them so that they may receive the just sentence for their works. Cover us with the Precious Blood of thy Son so that we may enjoy the protection which flows from His Passion and Death. Amen.
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God
cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Thou hast redeemed us with Thy Blood, O Lord.
And made of us a kingdom for our God.
Let us pray.
Almighty, and everlasting God, Who hast appointed Thine only-begotten Son to be the Redeemer of the world, and hast been pleased to be reconciled unto us by His Blood, grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate with solemn worship the price of our salvation, that the power thereof may here on earth keep us from all things hurtful, and the fruit of the same may gladden us for ever hereafter in heaven. Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen
