Do you know yours..... before MONAT mine was high and after a few months it went to normal - the right amount of moisture and hydration for my hair type!

💦Low Porosity Hair=moisture resistant. It may be hard to get moisture into your hair, but once you do, you don’t need to worry as much about your hair drying out. Product build can be an issue with low porosity hair. Since the product cannot easily pe*****te your hair follicles, product and debris can build up very fast.
♦️TIPS FOR LOW POROSITY HAIR♦️
⭐️Use indirect heat (heated hair wrap)
⭐️Deep conditioning with heat
⭐️Use a Clarifying shampoo to remove build up.

💦Medium Porosity Hair has a looser cuticle layer, allowing for a steady but moderate flow of moisture in and out of your hair. Medium porosity stands up well to styling, coloring, and chemicals- which means you should be careful! Frequent treatment can slowly increase the porosity of your hair, making it more difficult over time to maintain such styles and treatments.
♦️TIPS FOR MEDIUM POROSITY HAIR♦️
⭐️OCCASIONAL deep conditioning treatments with protein conditioners (NOT DAILY)

💦High Porosity Hair has gaps and holes in the cuticle layer, which allow moisture to pass quickly in and out. This can lead to frizz and tangling in humid weather, and extreme dryness in dry weather. You’ll need to be careful with activities like swimming or bathing that involve a lot of moisture getting into your hair, since this can cause breakage.
♦️TIPS FOR HIGH POROSITY HAIR:♦️
⭐️Avoid using high heat and excessive color.
⭐️Give yourself protein treatments.
⭐️Deep condition weekly or biweekly.

Hair Tip Reminder!

Shampoo is meant for the scalp... ALWAYS shampoo twice! (Make sure shampoo is applied to completely saturated wet hair)

Gently wring out excess water - AND
Conditioner is meant for mid shaft to ends - specially if your prone to oiliness!

RINSE WELL 🚿
**shake all products before each use and EMULSIFY**

If you use heat on your hair...
If your hair is steaming while using flat iron, curling iron, or wand- it’s one of three things.

1. Your hair is not 100% dry. You must use hot tool on completely dry hair or you risk severe damage.

2. The temp is TOO DARN HOT! If you have baby fine, bleached hair, there is ZERO reason to have your hot tools at 450F!!! Turn it down and stop broiling your hair.
(325 or lower)

3. Your heat protectant is full of silicones and you’re baking that 💩 into your hair. Literally melting plastic right on to your hair. Yeah, it may feel silky smooth, but in the long term, this is awful for your hair. It coats and creates a barrier where vital hydration and moisture can not pe*****te. So-it feels good, but it’s putting a bandaid on your poor hair.

I have been representing these products and using them myself for one year, I do my best to educate myself, my customers on proper hair care and styling. If you’re spending hundreds of dollars on your color, but using 💩 products and torturing your hair with heat, you are wasting your money!!!
