My mistake that I supplied two Manor DCC Sound Decoders to a client without typing GWR in the ESU decoder information but typing 2MT as i was already programming one order for the Standard 2 and that is where I failed
I spoke to this person over the phone but yet because the Ecos controller was detecting 2MT he couldn’t still believe that the sound was not from the Manor
I asked him to power up this loco and when I told him that the vacuum pump is a characteristic sound of the Manor he still didn’t want to believe me
So he told me that he had to accept my description
After explaining to him that I could reprogram these decoders for him with the right decoder information he gave me two days of legal threatening mails as the decoders now were defective as he could no make any adjustments to the chuff rates
This morning I received these 2 decoders and in a matter of a few minutes the right Cv 57 and Cv58 were programmed with the right values
So the end of the story is that this client does no intend to have the doors closed because in his opinion our sounds are epic but yet he threatened me and he asked for a full refund because this was not the Manor project
Next time he purchases a new sound decoder I have promised to myself that I will record the diesel sound of my car and I will reblow it into the new decoder and see which class of locomotive he will say it is
Head aches for no reasons
Just a person in the wrong hobby!!!!

Our New Dcc sound projects already started!!
It is in our dna do not produce a large library of sounds at once but in our own time making sure that the completed new project is going to be a good hit as usual
We intend to produce a sound project with dedication and devotion and like already happened in the past, if something is not of our satisfaction we make sure that we will record again that specific application for that particular locomotive.
Unfortunately this is one of the reasons why a project could be put on hold or delay
We endeavour to produce and deliver our best, harmonious and pleasant sound that when our clients listen to their models running on their layout they don’t need any Ibuprofen or any other analgesic tablets but yet an enjoyable cup of tea and let the music play on!!!!

It seems to be very frustrating for a modeller who wants to improve his collection with Dcc sounds
Since a few days ago when the official ESU website published the SWD Diesel and Steam sounds for a free download surely it has created more questions and more options for the best choice
TTS sounds have been very popular at a low cost
SWD have been present in the Dcc model world for a long time and one of the earliest promoters was Howes of Oxford who brought real sounds into the scale railway modelling
I personally believe that there is a standard in everything for everyone and my best advise is always listening, compare and judge
This is the best and clearest way for making the best choice
It is obvious that quality comes at a price and if a modeller is prepared to pay a bit more to add realism to his locos with real recorded sounds with no generic or remastered or copied sounds from other sources then this is why companies that offer their sounds at a premium price somewhere somehow must be differ from free products
Locomansounds are no producing Dcc sound projects on a large scale but strictly for the most discerning modellers and we pride ourselves for the reputation that we have built and achieved over the years and we endeavour to produce high quality sounds with our best knowledge and experience
