You might be wondering how and why I chose my Instagram / Facebook name.

Let's start ⤵️

Few years ago, I was one of the many employees of a world famous hotel chain. My life there was great because I worked and lived with good people plus we have the best staff accomodation in Dubai. I took me a while to realize that I wanted something more than working everyday and getting my salary at the end of each month.

Me : "I can do something better than this."

Me too: "In what am I good at? What's my passion? What can I do to pursue it?"

There was only one thing that I thought of... BEAUTY !

I love taking care of myself, I love the feeling of being beautiful and making somebody beautiful too so why not go for that direction?

So I continued my hotel life at the same time enrolled for a make up course. It wasn't an easy phase as I have to go for my classes during off days (If you're in Dubai for sure you can relate to that "a day off is not enough for everything you want to do!")

Months later, my course ended successfully and I felt ready to start my road to B eauty industry. Couldn't remember how many CV's I've submitted online / personally plus few heartbreaking rejections but nothing can stop me.

My hardwork and persistence prevailed when a luxury cosmetic brand called for an interview the next day. I got so excited that I couldn't sleep that night.

I remember my outfit, a formal black dress under a pink blazer which I borrowed from a colleague 😅

I was early in their office to prepare for my interview and it was a successful day! I had no second thoughts about resignation, it is time to move and i knew there was no turning back.

At this point, I started thinking about names for my instagram account. Most of the first ones I liked were already taken or doesn't really suit my vision.

At last, I came up with something that made sense: Brownboldbeauty

"Brown" for I am proud of my color and for being a Filipino 🇵🇭

"Bold" for having the courage to change my career, by taking the risk and stepping out from my comfort zone.

"Beauty" for the industry I love deep inside and will continue til the end👸🏽
