The 40 Thoughts All Moms Have at College Drop Off You survived 18 years of breakfast making, lunch packing, spelling tests, endless loads of laundry, and now you’re actually here: college drop off.
May be a good time to consult with an attorney about a medical POA for your college student . Because they are 18 , if something were to happen in college that finds them in the hospital or mentally incapable of making a decision , you can not make the decisions without your child’s consent .... if they can’t give consent you have no rights ... I am not an attorney, but I am hearing things like this

Would be great to have a large senior parent section present , let’s get tables filled !
Are you reading the college mail coming to your house? One thing I find interesting is some, not many, colleges track how many times you make contact with them or visit them. Just a thought, if your senior is really interested in a school, you should find out if its necessary to visit or interact with admissions more than you normally would. For example, Univ of Richmond charges no application fee if you visit, some schools don't want you pestering them, but we received a letter from American today that basically stated, 'if your child is truly interested in American, that she needs to demonstrate it, ie watch webinars, visit, contact the admissions counselor...
