Started braid number 2! My Goal is to spin all three braids super thin seperately and 3-ply them together. Hoping it still remains a fi*****ng weight and is even. This fiber is very fluffy so I’m thinking it may swell when washed.

I’ve also been busy sewing away on these cute little bags for Serger School. I’m traveling to MS next week with 6 girlfriends to attend a 4 day workshop on our Sergers. Can’t wait! I wanted these organizers to keep my space organized and tidy! Love how they are turning out!

I’ve been busy working on the Lucy Vest for the Master Hand Knitting Program I’m doing mine more like a tank top. Line and Coral and a few inches longer than the pattern calls for.

We are home safe and sound from a fabulous weekend. Now I sit and work on the Master Hand Knitting Program Level 2 and I am in awe at the person who actually enjoys Intarsa! I have 9 bobbins tangling on every row. SLOWEST KNITTING EVER!! not a huge fan of this!
Meet Mama Gnome! She was wonderful teaching the children about folklore and spinning. She even had handmade drop spindles and a bag of fiber for the kiddos to practice and take home with them FREE!

Such a sweet show this is! This was a gift from the local guild in honor of 2 members they lost this year. The face is a pin in honor of of the doll maker, the mug rug and shuttle are in honor of the weaver.

Once we complete the dyeing process I personally Reiki them for positive, loving, healing vibes. We then store them with a large bar of selenite so they continue to only hold positive energy!
OUR MISSION IS TO SPREAD POSITIVITY, LOVE AND COMPASSION WITH EVERY SKEIN!
I am Sheryl and I am the artist behind The Fiber Faerie. I learned to knit when I was about 5 or 6. In the last 5 years I have really taken on fiber arts of all kinds pretty frequently.
Most recently I was the owner and herbalist of an herbal and metaphysical store in NH but last year we sold the business retired and moved to the Western NC mountain’s. I am mixing my 2 favorite worlds: Fiber and Spiritual. I am trained in many different modalities of energy healing including working with the energies of crystals and Reiki. All stones have various vibrations that are associated with various forms of healing. I infuse all of my yarns with this healing energy. On the label of each of my yarns you will see what stones have been used in the dying process and what type of energy that skein of yarn holds.
All of my yarns are also charged with Selenite which is a stone that can only hold high positive vibrations. As a Reiki practitioner I use a technique called palm healing or hands on healing through which a universal energy is transferred through the palms of my hands and into the patient or in this case the yarn in order to encourage emotional or†physical healing and well being. So basically this yarn is packed full of AWESOME VIBES!
So go on try a skein or two! Betcha can’t help but smile!
